I was on subs for over a year starting at 16mg tapered to 12 then 8 then 4 then 2 tgen 1 then .5 finally I took the jump.. Day 3 was prolly the worst of it and it wasn't tgat bad. I didn't eat or drink anything for the first 3-4 days and got really dehydrated. I've been off the subs for almost 3weeks now and can say tgere still is some w/d but it comes and goes. Some days ill feel fine n normal others I get a sore back and am tired all day. I went from 16mg to .5mg over the course of a year n 3mo... The w/ds aren't bad at all if you keep busy (go for a walk ect. ) I work doing landscaping 60hrs a week and don't really feel the difference from being sore from work or if it's w/ds.. So it helps to keep moving.. I started w perks moved to oc's then opana and finally H.. Suboxone and councelling together saved me from total self distruction. If u taper correctly the w/ds are not bad at all!

I'm at day 46 and almost back to normal. I'd say I'm 95 percent. I sneeze occasionally still and my sleep isn't perfect but I'm happy to say I did it. I've beat the suboxone

Well good job Jeremy! Sorry it has to take so long to get over it. Im glad your feeling better. So how long were the acute, or bad symptoms for you? I felt a thousand times better after a month. For me it seriously took a month and then I felt like it was over. But I stopped at a higher mg than you, so I am just curious. Well have a great day and well done :)

LL I donT really know what u would call bad symToms but i never had any real bad symtoms. I was already in withdrawals before I ever completely stopped .  But my worst stuff was the legs and no sleep .  The legs stopped afterabout 20 days and the sleep still isn'tperfect. But I work nightshift and that's some of the reason I don't sleep well. Hard to sleep during the day

Today is day 4 for me. I was only taking a very small amount. I used the strips and cut the into 1/8. I was okay on day one, day two was awefull, day three was so so. today is not too bad so far. In my oppinion this is not as bad as perc withdrawals. I never want to go through perc WDs again. I can handle this. I have a hard time sleeping. taking something like a muscle relaxer before bed helps.

I have a headache, sweats and chills, very sleepy and of course the restless leg well all over body restlessness. my armpits drip with sweat even if im chilled. I wish all the best to anyone goining through this. I will post back when im over the withdrawals.

Jeremy, In withdrawal terminology..acute symptoms are the 'dear god, kill me now" symptoms like severe chills, muscle aches, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, restlessness, lethargy etc etc etc. The post acute symptoms or PAWS are mostly psychological, but can still be horrible like severe depression, fatigue and anxiety are the classic paws. Anyway, so basically I was wondering how long the bad symptoms lasted? Like you..my acute symptoms were not as severe as I thought it would be. The problem is that it drags on and on and on....I would much rather have severe symptoms for a few days then not so bad symptoms that seem to last forever. Anyway, I know you did the tapering method so I am just curious. I am glad to hear your doing better. Keep it up!
FYI I recently found out that NA meetings are offered online. I can't copy and paste the url...but I will say it has helped me alot. And I was extremely skeptical of the 12-step meetings. But just like anything else....theres good and bad to it. The online meetings are much better I think. Anyway I am just letting you know because the people there are going through the same c**p we are. If interested do a google search for 'stepchat' . Have a great day :)

Interesting. I'm sure this that this is helpful to some. I find in-person discussion meetings to be great. Otherwise - it just feels like an online forum. I would try to get them a chance. Good luck.

AND HAVE RIGHT NOW AND THE PAST 11 WEEKS STRAIGHT IN FULL BLOW WDRAWLS! MY DR. KEPT SAYING ITS MY MIND WANTING OPIATES. BS! I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF OPIATES. ALL I WANTED IS THE SYMPTOMS TO GO AWAY! AND THEY HAVE NOT! I HAVE COME TO A CONCLUSION THAT 10 YEARS OF OPIATE ABUSE. AND 8 WEEKS OF SUB. I HAVE PERMANENT BRAIN DAMAGE! AND PERMANENT WDRAWL SYMPTOMS! I HAVE TRIED KILLING MYSELF 5 TIMES IN THE PAST WEEK. I JUST CANT TAKE THIS ANYMORE!

I'm somewhere in the 40's on days without subs. I moved into my moms house so she can monitor me and I wouldn't be lonley. The first 2 weeks were hell, I posted some of my experiences earlier on this page as Leo dude. This wasn't my first rodeo with subs. I've detoxed at Parris island marine corps training depot and it didn't take no dame 30 days it took a week and I hid it pretty good none of the DIs suspected a thing. So I go into this detox thinking ok only week ill just break threw it. After week 1 my symptoms realy started to hit me and week 2 was the worst. On day 13 I broke down a bought some cloud 9 which is a type of potpourri k2 sorta thing. It's legal pot for those that don't know but it gets you way higher than the finest krypy ever could. I used it and the next 2 weeks I was a walking zombie not feeling my symptoms and nodding out left and right. I stopped a few days ago and no more symptoms I can't handle. Only thing bothering me is I can't get more than one hour at a time a sleep. Meaning ill sleep for a hour wake up for an hour then go back to sleep and repeat all night. The one thing I love about being off subs is I don't wake up feeling like sh*t anymore and I actually like to go out do things now and I have rediculous energy, like I'm bouncing off the walls. I don't realy condone the k2 thing cuz honestly not everyone can handle that stuff, but it worked for me it made the days go by so much faster and helps u relax and not be ansey.
