I knew it wasn't yeast infection BEFORE I went to the doctor..because I've had a yeast infections..rare for me..but the symptoms (itching - inside vagina AND cottage cheese type secretion) Not the same kind of itch..at all. This is more of a crazy creepy crawly, nerving, itching just inside the labia and outside. Some days the labia looks shriveled.
My doctor, who've I've told many times..is not yeast infection..keeps giving me diflucan. I've described it as NOT yest infection and more like a nervous problem. Sometimes if feels like something BITING me..it's coming from inside the labia and it intensifies until I address it by violent scratching. When I massage the skin..It doesn't itch..if I ignore it awhile..it builds and intensifies. Sometimes you have to scratch it raw so that the pain overpowers the itch.
The first diagnosos was Jock Itch...I was on two different cremes for over two months..did not cure it. She assumed it was a yeast infection after that..although I told her..it's not a yeast infection..and WOULDN'T YOU TEST CULTURE IT BY THEN!!!?
I've tried vagisil, hydrocortizone cremes, baths etc.
I've had 2 UTIs (Urinary track Infection - doesn't hurt when I pee though) in the past two months. I've been on antibiotics twice..but this all started a year ago.
Today I took a white vinegar and baking soda bath...I got some relief and it hasn't itched since..I hope it holds out. (5 inches of hot water, 1/2 gallon of white distilled vinegar and almost half a box of baking soda..soak as long as you want.
I've read on... about a lot of women talking about this on various sites..doctors don't know what it is.. I've only read about something called "Vulvydinia" which I think it's a made-up BS term since there is no real diagnosis, test or treatment for it. I have found that since doctors don't know what something is...they make sh*t up about it.
The mystery continues.
Oh yeah..I thought it was bacteria or something because my boyfriend wasn't washing his hands also. I don't think that's it.
I was diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis...possibly caused by an overactive immune system. - Itchy, biting, creepy crawly..all over labia to anus. Sucks!
But what do ya know..after 2 years of gynos..treating for yeast and gardnerella..among other health issues I was having along with weight gain, body stiff and soreness. I felt toxic from the waist down...I finally went to an endocrinologist.
I was hypothyroid!
Which now, is looking like Hashimotos disease..which of course..is caused by an overactive immune system.
One week on thyroid medication..I feel so much better..minor improvement with clobetasol propionate cream for labia...I don't itch as much..now just a bit at night.
I'm only on week two of synthroid..but things are looking up!
im a virgin
but i have bin fingerd a couple times,
my boyfriend kind of jabs, and its quite painful.
but recently, the day after i noticed redness and itchy as hell.
my inner lips are VERY red, & possibly swollen
idk if this is because im new at this
or because i have something
OH AND
on my vagina, when i shave
i get these red bumps, like pimples almost
they go away with time but when i shave again they bleed and come back
HELP.
I'm not sure what the problem is about your first part but as for the red bumps after shaving, that would just be reaction to the shaving. like razor burn but our vagina is very sensitive so it is a different type of razor burn than on our legs. I'd suggest either using some sort of shaving cream when you shave or take even more time while doing so.
Ok...I have looked down there and oticed that the inside a lil in my vagina is red and swollen. It's almost like it's ......damaged(??) a little. not sure how this is possible. I dont have sex and my bf hasnt done anything because ive been on my period for a fe days. no itch or anything else....just thatone weird lil spot is red. I did freak out and thank I left my tampon in..which could've irritated it. but now my pee burns a little. =/ not sure if thats cause of the irritation either cause it didnt burn at all before i irritated it.
After reading all these posts we noticed that a cyst was common amongst most. I hope this helps.
