Uhm... it sounds like your all getting cold sores.. and in denile... just sayinn
If you think it mayyyy possibly be a coldsore... try abreva, lipactin, or the more discrete (but less effective) carmex. Even if you don't think it's a cold sore (which like previously stated IS a strain of Herpes and in fact IS verrry common - which would explain all the common symptoms) you should probably grab some abreva or lipactin anyways because chances are you'll believe it when it comes back & if you don't want to have it as bad or as long you can use these products to almost stop it in it's path if you apply at the first sign of tingling, numbing, or discomfort and if you miss your chance to stop it in advance the products will help with fast healing. Normally for females they will come during stressful times or around the time of your monthly cycle.
I'm not saying that this is for sure what's going on... but there is a pretty good chance - and don't think it means anything gross or anything, but don't take it lightly. I was cursed with coldsores back in my first year of highschool because an infected person took a bite of my pizza... so it doesn't mean anything dirty (but even still - I still get embarrassed by it sometimes...) - just be careful who you share with and learn the facts. If you have one, don't share, don't kiss, and definitely don't do anything 'else' with your mouth because it is possible to spread it to body parts other than mouths... and that would be SO much worse than just a coldsore!

how long does it take for the swelling to go down all the way? my lip has been swollen all of yesterday and i woke up today and im pretty sure it got bigger.
I simply cant take this anymore! At first, the only affected area was my bottom left lip. My entire bottom lip is swollen at the moment. It is my third day actually, and now my lip grew 3x its normal size! I wanted to stab it as well, but I'm afraid it might get worse. And I can't see a doctor just yet. My mom says if it gets worse by tomorrow, then we will finally need to go to the hospital. Wow. I just can't eat properly. I just ate liquid foods for the past 2 days. Soup and milk make me feel better but it doesn't actually make the pain go away. :'(

Alright.. So i had a "little pimple" on my lip.. it was hard to pop but i did it.. and i walk away for a moment.. go back to the mirror and its swollen! .. I looked it up.. It could be herpes i dont know.. It was 420 yesterday and shared a couple joints.. I have no idea what it is.. Just a zit? COLD SORE. i dont know.. I dont ask people before i share anything if they have herpes and im not one to stare at peoples mouth.. Im so scared! and having a bit of anexity . HELP! Anyone had the same thing? Well it's day two with a swollen bottom lip.The first day I wasn't worried about it it's before that time of the month an I did break out on my forehead an around my lip.At first it just looked like a normal pimple it did hurt but the next day my lip was swollen I never tried to pop it so I don't understand why it would swell.I did try and pop it yesterday a little came out not a lot it didn't help at all didn't make it worst though.I put ice and a hot towel heat helps more.So that makes me think of a boil I have insurance I could go to the dr but im scared to hear it's herpes.it's Thursday I'm thinking I might go tomorrow or maybe wait until Monday.I always thought herpes meant sores inside you're mouth to but from why I read online it dosnt all the time.YEsterday I took benedryl twice didn't help and made me tired.I'm trying Advil today. I also put neosporin on it been washing my face a lot to.FRom what I was reading it sounds like you run fever and have body aches with herpes I don't have any of that I just have had acne my whole life not terrible but it has gotten worst on my chin and around my mouth for few months now.Its really nice to heat I'm not alone in this at least if I do go to the dr I will post the results.Lets hope I don't have to go though.....:(
First time in my life this swollen lip c**p has happened and im almost 30 wtf? i noticed a very small zip just above my top lip in the middle and tried to pop it. i obviously should have left it alone, it was under my goatee so it was hard to see, but my ginormous swollen upper lip is very noticeable. i look like i have a beak like a duck. very strange...i hate zits
My son had the same thing begin a few days ago. He had a small zit on his upper lip. Then boom, the next day, looked like someone gave him a right hook. Took him to the doctor who diagnosed a Staph Infection. Staph lives on our skin all the time and when it gets into a wound, it can becoime infected. Yes, it is very deep and the infection usually gets between the layers of skin and cause the great amount of swelling.
His doctor put him on Keflex (because it is such a broad spectrum antibiotic) and we have been alternating Heat (to draw out the infection) and cold packs (for the inflammation). It started to drain only about 24 hours after he started the anitbiotic. But be very careful. If the staph gets worse it can travel up the face, toward the eyes and sinus. It can also get into the blood stream and be very hard to get rid of. So please be careful, and the most important thing is WASH YOUR HANDS!!

I noticed a very small bump on my lower lip line yesterday afternoon, i touched it and thought it was a pimple, so i tried popping it, every time i would squeeze it would grow more, so i left alone but it started making me uncomfortable so i popped it; point is, that this morning i woke up, and the bump got bigger and so did my lip... it is swollen and i dont know the cause, can someone please help?

Ya, I have had this once or twice before and it sucks because not only do I look as if I was punched on my mouth, but it hurts like heck too! The best thing to do is to ice it (for the swelling) just before going to bed because I find that is when my symptoms worsen. I believe it's because the bacteria pools into the lips and doesn't drain out. When you are awake and walking around, it gives the bacteria a chance to drain away from the lips (gravity I guess). So ice your lips a lot before going to bed. The swelling shouldn't be as bad when you wake up. Then, later throughout the day, steam it with a hot towel so that the zit, whether it is ingrown or out on the surface of the skin, can get some relief from the pus. Sorry if this seems like a long post, but it works for me. Also, just make sure to keep the infected area clean and don't touch it too much or it will become even more irritated.

i had woken up before with the whole left side of my face swollon and my top lip was swollon. i went to the doctor and i had a abscess in my top lip and under my eye. the abscess was leaking into my face making it swell soo bad. just go to the dr u never no what it can be. i got these abscesses from my dog licking my face
You should all go to the doctor ,I had a pimple under my nose that I tried to pop and it wouldnt, woke up next morning and my lip was swollen up like a balloon.I went to the doctor and that pimple was huge, he said it was a clogged pore and said i had a bacterial infection and gave me a prescription. He thought it was Staph at first, but he said if it didnt burn or tingle when it first came up then it wasnt
Had the same thing a while back but it got to the point where it would tickle for some reason, and in my sleep i hit it and it started draining everywhere. It will get to that point for anyone im assumimg.
i have a major pimple on my lip but never thought that my lip was swollen till i woke up and looked in the mirror. it hurts like hell. its only swollen at the middle tip of my mouth right where the pimples a lil at. how can i get rid of it if i cant bust it at all
