You are re-infecting yourselves if the problem comes back relatively fast. Buy some cheap toothbrushes and throw them out after you use them. Do this until the infection is completely gone. Don't touch the end of the toothpaste tube with the brush either. Another good idea is to put a little chlorine bleach in your dishwashing water and to wipre surfaces including your computer keyboard with a disinfectant. Good hints for a full recovery.....Hygeine, hygeine, hygiene...oh, and hygiene.
Love, Mom
That sounds like tonsilloliths AKA tonsil stones.

I started off as a sore throat I think a Tuesday morning. It was very difficult to swallow. I thought I wasn't breathing sometimes because it was so sore. The right side of my neck was very sore. I couldn't gargle warm salt water after that second day. I took all kind of sore throat medicine. I was drinking hot tea with lemon and honey. After a 3 or 4 days I was feeling better but my voice was terrible and my neck gland was very sore and swollen. It hurt to talk. I went to work that Monday and my boss said you don't sound like yourself. I said I know I feel fine it is just my voice and my tonsil a lil sore. He encouraged me to go to the doctor. I went on to the doctor about my voice and why I couldn't open my mouth all the way. (Keep in mind I felt good. I didn't have a fever the whole time) My doctor tried to look down my throat and told me to go to the ER right away. I had a lot of inflammation. I got there took mono test, strep throat test and cat scam. Cat scam came back I had an abscess in my throat around my tonsil with pus. I had to stay over night. They didn't want it to block my air ways. I didn't go to the doctor until a week later because I thought I was fine. I was treated with antibiotic and steroids and the abscess was getting smaller so, I was able to leave the next day without them putting me to sleep and lancing it. I was giving 2 prescription when I left and if it come back I got to get it lance.
I have the same thing, I was told it could be a salivary gland stone..which is easily fixed...
I will let you all know if it was for sure..this

The way you described what is going on with you sound similar to labyrinthitis. I won't get into detail but if you search it up you will see. hope this helps someone.
