At 42 I have been very lucky to escape sore breasts from periods until the past year. Now understand what my friends described growing up. However in the past 3 weeks I have had a sharp pain in my left beast which catches my breath and wakes me in my sleep
I've researched the internet and felt readers may benefit from the main findings
It could be a small blockage or infection although the most common reason is hormone levels, regardless of age. Reduced caffeine, taking oil of primrose, certain types of pill etc can help.
However, the strongest advice is don't take a chance with your health - go to your GP and get a medical opinion. I'm booking an appointment this week. I think it will be nothing but better to safe than sorry (as my mother always says)

Hi I'am a 46 year old female. I also need some help. This past Friday, a friend and I were being silly. She carried me by grabbing me tight from under my armpit area (breast to breast), since she is much taller than me, she rose me off the floor and walked about 20 feet into the living room and released me on the couch. It hurt and bothered me so bad during that distance I couldn't breath until she finally let go. The following day I felt soar and the discomfort and sharp pain has gradually increased. Last nigh I woke up to bad sharp strong pain and have difficulties taking full breaths. I took 2 Advil and had to sleep on my back with my arms stretched over my head to facilitate my breathing. Today it is better, but Im afraid it will get worse tonight again. What should I do?
Hi everyone,
So I'm 25 years old and have 2 kids a 6 year old and a 5 week old. I have been having sharp shooting pains for a while but I've never thought anything of it until now. Since I'm still on maternity leave I have been taking advantage and breastfeeding all that I can before returning but every now and then while my baby is latched on the pain worsens. I don't feel anything hard in any of my breasts but I really don't know what this could from...
Does anyone have any ideas or have gone through the same or even similar situation?
I am having sharp pain in left breast going out to shoulder blade have it four weeks and getting worse I am 52
I believe that all of you out there are having dislovated and / or pinched nerves in your mid back and they must be reset soonest as it will get worst. Only a verry few specialist are knowlageable in resetting those nerves. I know as I am one of them in Canada.
