Good day.

My mom’s dog, Dalmatian, is really sick.

This was my first dog, and now, he is 11 years old. My mom is an older lady, she is living alone with our Mika, and they are really good friends.

She told me today that our Mika has some heart problems, some heart issues. She couldn’t tell me a lot about it, because she doesn’t know. I am going to visit her in two days, and I will talk to Mika’s vet.

Until I go there, can you tell me some treatment options for dogs with hearth problems?

I want to do anything to help my Mika.

Hello there.

I am really sorry to hear this :/ I’ve lost a dog because of some hearth issues when I was a kid. I don’t know so much about this, but I know that he had some problems…I was just a kid.

About your case, it depends on what kind of heart problem this dog has. It can be congestive heart failure and there is no cure for this, but there are some treatments that can extend and improve your dog’s life. It is very important to see signs and symptoms on time, because in this case it can be treated really good. But, you should be in touch with your vet forever.

Hey.

There is possibility that this dog have congestive heart failure, like Love-is-pet told you.

But, your dog’s treatment depends on what kind of problem is it and what is the main cause of this problem.

I can’t tell you that much, because I know that your vet is playing the main role in this case.

Medications can help this dog heart to work and correct some irregular heartbeats. Also, meds can help you slow fluid build – up in the lungs.

Sometimes, the only way is the surgery, to insert peacemaker to correct heartbeat.

As you can see, you can’t do a lot about it.

That is why you need to visit the vet.
