I used to get the dream thing too, where it would happen and I would have to race someone or something but I would do something wrong, and have to go back to the 'start', then my opponent would do something wrong and start again, and it was a never ending cycle. It really freaked me out because it would cause so much anxiety of never being able to win. The fast feeling is super strange.
I have them every day and im just as confused as you are... there really scary
I have had this happen when I was little but thought I was the only one. Everything around me was going fast same with my brain and people around me talking to me with sudden urgency. Idk what in the world it could be but I would really like to know. It has happened to me in years and having one right now where everything is going fast and I'm trying to relax my body and mind.
I am 17 and get this feeling now and again but then only way i have foubd to get rid of it is to either ride it out or take deep breaths of fresh air then hold my breath and repeat l was told it could have something to do with my ears but i want to know the actual cause because no one i have spoken too about it has ever experienced this themselves
So glad to see other people feel the same way, every movement i take is very rapid and all my thoughts seem to just disappear, even as I've gotten older I still find it just as terrifying, I normally end up crying cause I just feel insane. For me it often leads to panic attacks as it messes with my breathing, I get them around once a fortnight, just hoping they become easily or less frequent the older I get!
I get this too from time to time, used to be a couple years between episodes that would last 20 minutes (but felt like hours) now they're happening more and more frequently but less intense and shorter duration.
Along with a sensation of the world moving too fast and racing thoughts I'd also have perceptions reversed (these would always happen in bed when I'm trying to sleep) my previously soft blanket and bed feel like rocks or spikes, my hardwood floor feels like cotton candy.

Wow, I posted about this on a few sites, but never got an answer! And there are this many of us! But have anyone found out what it is? Is it Alice in Wonderland Syndrome?
And also, is this something you should seek help for? I haven't, and have had this for years. I'm quite used to it, and it have never scared me. It is a bit uncomfortable, but it always passes.
When I got the time speed up thingie while I was younger, I used to do my math homework in short amount of time.
And it doesn't happen way too often anymore, and I'm 22 now

I know this is a year old, but I feel so much better knowing I'm not crazy or a liar. This has happened to me since 3rd Grade. I did suffer from Severe Anxiety Attacks when I was young, but was never diagnosed. Figured it out myself when the anxiety Commercials came out in the 90's. This seems to be a common thread between everyone.
I had this happen for the first time last night---long term history of anxiety, and I've got a cold, and my dog died last week (so kind of a stressful time). Got up around 3am to get a snack (nausea from postnasal drip) and as I got back to bed, the clock seemed to be broken: i watched it advance a minute what seemed like every ten seconds or so .... but when I checked it against my phone, it was ok. I was VERY confused. Never heard of such a thing! I'm older (56), so I considered stroke, but nothing else seemed wrong, and it passed in 10-12 minutes.
im telling you its not a symptom. try reading at the same time as having the feeling if your not reading faster then you really do have a symptom
I am so relieved to see that this isn't just me. Everything around me seemed to be going really fast, even my own voice. What really helps me when the feeling kicks in is listening to calming audios on youtube or even turning on the tv to get my mind off of it. This usually happens to me when im sick so its probably just the fever making my mind get the 'fast feeling'
