5 stints later the hole repaired but I have stricture in my ureter that my kidney is not functioning.

I am sorry this occurred to you.. I hope your surgery goes well. The most pain was from the stents. It will get better, at least for me it did, but it did take awhile...physically and mentally. Stay strong. Keep me posted how you do and feel free to chat back.
After reading more of these post, it's a shame this has happened SO MANY times! My doctor said by doing my partial hysterectomy laparoscopic it reduced any complications. I get there is risk in every surgery but... i'm almost 10 years since my ureter was reattached. I have re-flux of the kidney (Right) and having to get my ureter reattached again. I have medical bills in the 20's of thousands due to this Dr mistake. I don't know why it isn't a law to run dye after each laparoscopic surgery! Good luck to all of you newbies out there! Ps... I'm the original Guest who wrote above a year ago. This all started in 2008 and STILL going on!
