I have used methadone for years to treat nerve pain. Started cannabis vape 4 months ago and began to diminish methadone intake.
Went into withdrawal unknowingly. Vape made me crazy. Had to stop vape and return to methadone. A Very Bad Trip. And I used to love grass when in college!???

Im thinkn of givin up methadone an use medical marijuana for my chronic pain i just dont like The THC effect or atleast not so high dose of the THC,so im not sure what strain to go with,maybe Remedy or Ringos gift strain
I take it for chronic pain as well. I actually find the Methadone better for pain matinence than the opioids and marijuana can help boost its affects. My physician prescribe them both to me.
I am for the first time considering pot with on methadone, but slowly stopping my neurontin. I have brain farts in the middle of my sentences, and from what I gather in research, it is the neurontin that is doing it. (It also could be from my fibromyalgia.). My chronic pain has become intolerable and I am considering pot. I have a pain dr. Is this a valid option for chronic pain?

Same here. Im on 50 mg and I've been smoking everyday now for the past year or so. I lost my 2 week take-homes because of it. I think it helps.
I attend a methadone and have been for a year now. Marijuana has showed up on every drug test but they have let me know that marijuana isn't something they are worried about and I never had any reprecussions. The methadone does its job and I am able to go about my day. I smoke marijuana atleast once an hour to help with dealing with stress. I smoke it when I feel uncomfortable, anxious, stressed, or just plain out bored to be honest,. The methadone doesn't seem to be affected by the marijuana.
If u detox and dont do any other opiates during your methadone treatment you can detox successfully with vefy limoted withdrawals.and entrr the work0 force with awesome resilts.no more heroine no more lies or cheating or deception..just life on lifed terms..good luck people
You right!! But it can be done! I am getting g off of it for the second time! Down to 14 from 90 this time and the right strain of weed helps a while lot!! Just started! With I had sooner!

It's sad knowing that some people have to make the choice to start Methadone. Methadone, at first may seem like a easy way out of addiction but in the long run can be dangerous.
Yes you are right, but that is only if you play with methadone if you rather do a short maintenance stint rather that stick to it and cheat in the middle then does it get dangerous, it has its own bad sides but not as bad as heroin at least.
