I can not thank you enough for your post. I have been dealing with this problem for years and no one has been able to tell me what it is. I came home from my doctor visit yesterday almost in tears thinking I was going to have to deal with this the rest of my life. You are a saint!

I have the same problem. I haven't been to any doctors because it comes and goes. I've been thinking about it for months and months. I believe that maybe it is nature's way of keeping us procreating. (Has anyone ever seen a female cat in heat?! Rubbing/scratching up against anything it can find) Maybe when a female is fertile mother nature gives us the itch hoping that we'll get it scratched, to put it bluntly. For me the itching ceases when ovulation is over. So that is my theory.GLV72J

I have similar issues and as a diabetic was fobbed off by GP for years who treated it as yeast infection. Eventually I have seen a private gynae who diagnosed lichen sclerosis. I use a topical steroid cream now which relieves itching mainly but symptoms have not gone away completely. Am going back for a review next week but am inclined to think it's hormonal as it is definitely worse for the 10 days prior to starting period.

To start, i am 19, on birth control, and have only had one sexual partner. Throughout the month i find sex to be very painful, and i tend to tighten unintentionally at penile penetration to the point that he is unable to enter. 2 days before i finish my birth control (before the placebos) i start to get sore constantly from no cause, it continues to get worse until about 2 days after i start my period when the entire outer area gets red and irritated, the next day i can barely sit down it is so painful. After that day, it starts to peal and eventually gets better when my period finishes. I have no idea what is wrong, i have been to my doctors and have been prescribed corticosteroid cream but this cycle is the same whether i use it or not. Please if anyone can help me it would be wonderful as it is affecting my sex and normal life.

Yay! I finally know what I haveI really didn't want to go to the doc for something that comes and goes. Plus, I had an allergic reaction to meds last time I was treated for a yeast infection. I have just been using baking soda thinking it was yeast. It would get better until my next ovulation. At least now I know I have been doing the right thing. Oh, and I started applying hydrocortisone externally. Just a warning, apparently some women find it irritating.

I think I have this also! But does anyone know if you could still feel the itchiness and be pregnant? Last time the itching started I got my period about 10-12 days later, and now it is passed that time, I am still feeling the itching and no period...

Wow. What to say? I've had the same problem, off and on for years. I've dealt with urinary tract infections and this year even a kidney infection, and the doctors have never found anything "wrong". However, not only do I have all symptoms that the majority of you are experiencing, I have all the symptoms on the list for BV/CV! I'm so thankful I found this site because I was really freaking out this month. It's the first month I've had real problems because of vaginal irritation since my kidney infection, and I was terrified I had another one. This morning I made the connection between the discomfort and my period, and as soon as my period started the symptoms greatly decreased, as they always do. I'm so happy I might actually know what's wrong with me. Hopefully I can get in to see a doctor soon, and can get on with my life.

Ok ladies I was experiencing the same thing my wonderful doctor took the time to listen and do research he called me with an UUUUUHHHHHHUMMMMM I think I found it. He said it sounded horrible but it was not all that bad it is Lichen Sclerosus and I just started treatment with clobetasol so I hope this works. Let me know what you think.

Here is a solution for the permanent cure of the bacterial infection of genital area(virginal infection).

Get two table spoons full of boric acid powder mixed with 59 fluids Oz of water. Shake well until it is completely dissolved.

Apply it to the area as liberally as possible using any possible dispense ways possible so that the solution reaches all the nook and crannies of the infected area. Let the solution stay there as long as possible.

Apply as many times as possible, but most of the symptoms will be gone in 12 hours after the first application.

I have been experiencing the same symptoms for quite some time now. The itchying part was very gradual and now I can not take it any more. My sex life is a thing of the past. While it seems like I can't stop ovulating, I dry up every time I attempt sex. My Gyno says that change in ovulation consistency happens from time to time. However, if this topic could get more personal....
1) Do y'all have an ovulation discharge?
2) Is it chunky? If so, does it come out in globs?
3) If it's not, does it seem like you are constanly leaking?

You could vulvar vestibulitis. Your doctor can prescribe steroid creams and other topical gels. If it is VV, it's really important to go to the doctor, because if it gets worse it can lead to A LOT of pain and emotional trauma. Hope you feel better.

I'm not sure if I have the same problems but I have similar symptoms. 2 years ago I got BV and was treated with antibiotics however several months later I got a UTI and found out I still had BV so I was treated for both then within a couple weeks I found out I was pregnant. I did have at least one other UTI during the pregnancy but the only other problem that hasn't. Seen relief since the BV is vaginal dryness. After the baby I got on the depo, which I don't recommend to anyone, and so I have not had a period in a while I did stop the depo 6 months ago and still nothing. Also after tghe baby I have been treated about 6 times for UTIs and 1 time for yeast and recently a urologist decided that after intercourse I should take an antibiotic so I have been. Then last night during intercourse I started feeling some burning and definite dryness which is a mood killer and a big issue with my boyfriend and then I noticed redness and swelling after that which is still there today. I can't be sure if its related to ovulation cause without having a period I don't know when I am ovulating. I do have an appointment with my ob in 3 days and I have every intention of mentioning all my problems and no intention of leaving without a barage of tests for any possible cause being done because I want answers now and I'm tired of being told its probably nothing. I'll let you know what I find out. Good luck everyone.
