I was experiencing the same thing, and was treated for yeast and tested for everything. The baking soda is the cheapest, and it does the trick. Also, try Preseed, it mimics your natural flora, as well as Evening Primrose Oil. After discovering this, I went from miserable thinking I would never have sex again to wanting a partner to share my restored libido.
Dear Pachykeen what you have is Cytolytic Vaginosis. Please google it. Treatment is with Baking soda Douches, Sitz
bath and baking soda suppositories
I do not think it affects fertility. Since it usually starts after the ovulation period,it means you ovulate normally and if a viable sperm meets the egg, ther'll be fertilisation
Wow profesora..... I am so glad I came to this page, uve made my day with ur response. Thanx a million
Hello, I started itching a month ago and the only thing different that I have done and can only imagine it might be ischool the pupic hairs I always get a Brazilian wax before my period but last month and this month I've gone after and when ovulating only I get this itch I go get wax and it stops so I I'll try to wax before I get my period later this month and hope is that because when the hairs are groend out and it gets wet with the discharge rubbing on your underwear that might cause it to itch or if it's sweaty
Very helpful and to the point. Thanks!
I want to thank you so very much for your post. I just started using a basic homemade version of the baking soda sitz and it's working. Omg, thank you. Sort of hesitant trying the douche version since the sitz seems to be doing the job but will wait and see. Noticed immediate cooling, less discharge, less irritation and itchiness. How can ob gyns not identify this correctly.
I have been reading about this issues on several site. There are some answers. This is what works for me. At the first sign of this I will do a baking soda douche, a baking sida bath works, clean myself with just water and a cloth and take a antihistamine. For whatever reason this combo works for me. I tried vaginal creams, increasing yogurt intake, etc and while this maybe lessened it a bit, the allergy pill and baking soda douche was the best.
It totally sounds like this is what I have, but when I get irritated I get paper cuts around the entrance of my vagina
Thank you SO MUCH for this comment. I have suffered with this for years. You have no idea how grateful I am for reading this post. I'm shocked none of my doctors considered this diagnosis before now. Life saving.
Having the same issue, im pretty much itchy all the time except during my period I have made some changes that seem to help: During my period I now use stayfree brand pads I found that the Always brand pads are made with a plastic type mesh that covers the actual pad and that irritates the hell out of me. While im off my period I stopped wearing underwear (when I go out I wear them of course but if im home im commando) I did this because when this itching started it was only wear my underwear would come into contact with my vagina and I noticed improvement I was also using cortisone on outer lips only (not sure if its safe inside) that gives me more relief then monistate vulva cream (which burns like hell)
I have also developed super sensitivity due to The Itch sex is uncomfortable and some what painful after sex is awful the best description is I feel raw , urination burns, cant wipe have to dab with a damp wash cloth, my clítoris is super sensitive to the point the oral and touching hurts and I can no longer (squirt) sorry tmi but it is sooooo frustrating the doc is scratching his head and medication helps but it ALWAYS comes back.
Some have mentioned using ACIDOPHILUS chewable tabs to help regulate ph levels I will be giving this a try.

I go through the EXACT SAME THING EVERY MONTH. I find that using a little bit of A&D ointment after the shower helps and dry vaginal area completely. Drinking water and eliminating sweets helps a lot. Just recently I had an episode and I drank about 8-10 bottles of water and ate yogurt for a couple of days. Although I was running back and forth to the bathroom the itching and burning eventually stopped.
I have the same problem, thought I was the only one, this blog has been brill, I'm trying the baking soda and also gonna stop tampons thanks girls good luck everyone x
Thank you for posting this...will try!!!!
Ladies, I hope this can help. I have the same ovulatin discharge iritation/inflamation problem, that goes away with mens. It is first itchy and later very painful. It is bad on its own, but sex is making it even worse. This is my solution: the moment I notice the ovulatin mucus I start using tampns to prevent it from reaching the labia. I change them several times a day. Without this mucus, I have no iritation at all .Pls. let me know if this helps. Best!
