I am 16 and have had this problem for a few years now. Kind of the same as you guys are describing however I am in no pain at all. I only get pain I get is at the top of my left testicle and lower abdomen after ejaculating after a long period of stimulation. The tube leading from my testicle up to my pelvic area is swollen and there is a lump of only what I can describe as scrambled egg at the back of my testicle. My right testicle is perfectly fine and have had no problems there but still have no idea what is causing this.
Any answers or help is appreciated,
Thanks

Treatment for you pain!!!!!
I have had this problem for years. Maybe from a the age of 13 or 14, I’m 28 now.
None of my Doctors over the years have done anything about this. Nor do they even want to talk about it. They have told me that it will go away. :( Sure!
What I have done in the past to make it go away.
1. Squeeze the vas deferens (tube) in different areas. Now this hurts very badly when you are doing this but it will stop when you are done.
2. Make sure you squeeze up and down the vas deferens.
3. Stop / Relax and make sure you are not applying more pressure in that area.
4. In about an hour or so everything should be fine.
I have been doing this for years. I do not get it as much as I did when I was young. But it does happen from time to time.
But this has always worked for me I am up and going with in the hour.
It would be good to know of this works for others too, so give feed back

Ask you doctor about your varicocele
To the woman whose husband is in the hospital and all posters with this pain, the nerve damage theory is very possible. I am 38, but when I was 24 I had an inguinal hernia operation. The operation left a scar on the right side of my abdomen. The right side has continuously given me problems since then. The same pain many are complaining about and also after ejaculation (feels like something's pushing out under the testicles to the point where sitting on a hard floor is the only relief). I feared the hernia operation was unsuccessful so I went to several doctors. They all took a look at the scar and said nerves were cut and this was causing the pain. Also, would not heal itself. To those with no operation history, possible scar tissue of some sort on the inside. Just a thought...
I am also having these symptoms. I am 38 and work out daily. One day I went to get out of bed and felt extreme pain for a few seconds in the groin area. After it went away I felt a little tender/ sore for a few days. Now I can feel a small lump in the tube which my guess is the vas derens on my right side. It is tender to the touch. It does not hurt much except when I sit in certain positions or when doing leg raise for my abs. It has been a few weeks now and somedays it does not bother me at all. I guess I will go to the doctor soon if it does not go away. I was hoping someone would have gotten a diagnoses on here by now.
Wow guys.. Just 2 days ago after intercourse my left testicle swell a whole lot and same with my right.. there was a lot of pain in the testicle and abdominal pain as well..
When I got to the ER after an hour of wait.. the testicles' swelling died down and same as the pain.. but the pain at its peak was severe I could've barely stood still waiting in the emergency registration..
When the swelling died down.. the two testicles appeared further apart from one another.. It was late at night and since the pain/swelling died down the doctors at the ER did not want to call and wake the Urologist.
Now tonight I noticed that my left testicle is LOWER than usual and my right is higher than usual? There's no pain whatsoever.. but it scares the heck out of me.. My biggest fear is that the left testicle is no longer attached and is dangling by itself.. or it may be hanging by a thread..
Guys, any of you experienced one of your testicles lower than usual and the other one higher than usual?

Thts's called varicocele. It causes serious discomfort and reduces your testosterone.you need to get rid of it by surgery.
Well, I was hanging out at my girlfriends house and after hanging out and hooking up and stuff in some not normal sitting positions, I noticed my right testicle hurt real bad. So I went to the bathroom, and felt the vas deferens above the teste and it was big at first I had thought I twisted it, but it didnt twist back so it obviously isnt that. Now they both hurt alot to even the most slightest touch. I don't know what to do. Is this serious enough for a doctor visit? Or should I maybe just sleep in tonight and see how I feel tomorrow.
Holly pain balls batman!
I can't believe so many people are having this same problem without any diagnosis by a doctor!
After reading the wiki on Viracocele http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varicocele It does seem to be the culprit. A couple people posted that and nobody seems to be looking into it.
I'll tell you what.

All of those (except infertility) seem to be my symptoms. I've had this for about 2 years, and the lack of health insurance has kept me from going to see my doctor. But this thread has showed me to understand this better and also that many doctors dont have a grain of a clue for anything. I'm going to suggest the doctor to approach this as varicocele.
I suggest that all of you do the same.

Symptoms of varicocele may include:
Dragging and aching pain in the scrotum.
Feeling of heaviness in the testicle(s)
Infertility
Atrophy (shrinking) of the testicle(s)
Visible or palpable (able to be felt) enlarged vein[2]

omg! i cant believe how many people have the same problem i do!!!
I have been put on all sorts of antibiotics and anti inflamitry tablets but they dont seem to be doing much (though the anti inflamitrys seem to work well).
They thought it was epididimytis but obviously if the antibiotics are not working then it must be this!!! Ive had this for about a year and it just wont go.
If everyone is sure its Varicocele i might mention it to my doctor asap and let you know what she says.

Bacteria such as Chlamydia can be easily contracted through sexual intercourse (even from protected sex, in my experience) and can cause the testicular, abdominal, penile, hip and lower back pain described in this forum, especially if left untreated (it doesn't go away on its own, trust me). Symptoms usually start within 48 hours of sexual contact with an infected person. Unfortunately, these types of bugs may or may not be detectable with currently available tests, so diagnosis may have to be done "the old fashioned way" by describing the symptoms and your specific sexual activities leading up to the problem to your doctor (it pays to be honest). I believe that most bacterial infections can be treated with anti-biotics, however, so you should work with your doctor to get treatment. Because certain anti-biotics work better than others, depending on the bug, you might have to try several anti-biotics to find one that works with the infection you have (or you might have a combination of bacteria strains causing your pain.) I have found brand name Floxin at a 400mg dose 2-times per day for 15 days to be very effective (the generic ofloxacin version of the drug wasn't as effective for me for some reason), but you might have to take it for 30-45 days to eradicate an infection, especially if it has gone untreated for a long time. Keep in mind that your sex partner may need to take the same medications, because these infections can be shuttled back and forth between partners. Work with your doctor and tell him/her all of the facts, and go in for treatment as soon as you believe you may have contracted an infection. You don't need to live with the pain when good drugs are available to fix the problem. You just need to take action and work with your doctor, and don't get frustrated if one anti-biotic doesn't work -- just try another. Be sure to take the meds at the prescribed times, and take all of the doses (don't stop when the pain goes away, because the bug may still be active.) Also, realize that the bacterial infections going around do become resistent to specific drugs over time, so it is important to choose your sex partners wisely, and to always protect yourself. GOOD LUCK and BE SAFE!
I'll add myself to pile. Been having the following symptoms for about 2 weeks:
Pain, like about an 1/8th of being hit in the balls. Sometimes its just an ache.
epididymis hurts to touch.
Vas deferens is swollen to the point of actually raising my right testicle above my left.
Aches more if I stand for long periods.
I have tried wearing boxers at home (have to wear briefs at work, to physical), and it doesn't help :-(
I have noticed slight pain of and on in my right testicle for about the last 13 years or so, but it usually went away after about 3 days or so. This isn't
I'm going to call my GM tomorrow and schedule an appointment. I'll keep you guys informed...

Well, went to the emergency room yesterday because I didn't want to wait an additional 2 days to see my GP. He checked my right teste and told me he thought it was epididymitis and wanted to do a urine test for what I believe was gonorrhea (came back negative). He thought it might be an e-coli infection. I got a very painful injection in the "hip" (as the nurse called it) and a prescription for some antibiotics. It seems to be getting slightly better...
