Hi my daughter who is ten has had ongoing stomach pain...at times crippling and we have done all the full blood tests NORMAL..now we had an ultra sound showing inflames lymph nodes in her stomach. No treatment was reccomended by dr and said it was one of those things like a sore throat ...comes n goes.? Wouldnt u think a dr would investigate further...or would that just be turning my child into a hypercondriact? we have used anti biotics and pain relief....any one got info on this subject appreciated?
exactly the same symptoms but in my left side...had colonoscopy but wasn't it...on pain med but will be going back soon...curious if you have learned anything else from your docs?
Sometimes lymph node swelling in the abdomen is caused by infection but can also be lymphoma or the condition I have called Mesenteric Panniculitis. Good luck with your cases. Just thought I would post here so others can read possible causes.
Dont quote me but a lot of what ive been reading sounds very similar to what my son went through from when he was aged 9, it took just over a year but we did eventually get a diagnosis of crohns disease which causes severe stomach cramps, weight loss, fatigue, anaemia, sometimes fever, sometimes not, nausia and vomiting etc. Because it is an inflammatory disease it can cause lymph nodes in the stomach/abdomen to enlarge and antibiotics wont really help much.
It is a very difficult disease to diagnose, especially in children and young adults. There is plenty of literature on the web regarding crohns disease, its symptoms and treatments etc so it might be worth a look for some of you to check to see if your symptoms seem simiar.

HI! my son is having several of the symptoms described by all of you in 2008> Are you all still experiencing them? what was the diagnosis? a friend of mine said it could be Mesenteric Adenitis or lymphadenitis. Or imflammatory bowel disease. My sons has never had a fever though. Severe exhaustion,stomach pain and little appetite is his symptoms. Did anyone have anastesia before they had the other symptoms? if you could all respond that would be great.

Good Evening Everyone- I was just in the hospital Sunday and Monday for the very same thing everyone's talking about. Started a week prior and the pain was so bad i went in. I do not have my appendix so i was not sure why i was feeling this. They first assume I was having appendicitis attack but soon found out i did not have one..(Removed when I had Hysterectomy). After CAT scan he said I had swollen Lymph Nodes, But when i seen previous doctors they said it should go away and that it shouldn't come back... Well, it has 3 times! Usually 7-12 days it will last then it will subside then BAM it hits again! I'm really not sure what to think but i am a bit tired of seeing doctor after doctor to just be put on pain meds. I want an answer. If anyone has found an answer yet.. please advise.. to all! Thank You!
My 9 year old was diagnosed with Mesenteric Adenitis.....swollen lymph nodes in her stomach, which causes her cramping, nausea, and bloating/gas.......it first started a year ago and lasted for about 2 months, then it would come and go all year, sometimes she would go for weeks at a time feeling normal, and then it would come back. Currently she has had it again for about a month and a half.......doesnt seem to be a cure for it except to wait until it goes away again and hope it stays away this time. We use alot of antiacid gas medicine, sometimes peptobismol, Gas drops help sometimes, Gas x sometimes helps, and we use Ibuprofin. Not much you can do except suffer it out. :o( It is very hard to see my daughter go through this time and time again.
My son is 9 and he's been in the hospitial for what they thought was his appendix, but that wasn't the case. They told us that he had swollen lymphnodes. That was last year now he's got the same pain again. Turns out that he stil has the swollen lymphnodes but this time there bigger. Doctor sending us to a specialist. Does n e one know anything about this. He only has really bad pain no other symptoms.Rachaell
All of you asking what was found out after everything happened is probably nothing. I have had the same symptoms as all of you for over three years and although they have found the swollen lymph nodes, they can't tell me what has caused them. My one doctor told me I would have to deal with the pain and it should go away in a couple weeks, which I doubt since I'm in tears multiple times a day from the pain. My other doctor thinks I have IBS, obviously not since they know its my lymph nodes. I just figure its something I have to deal with but I would like answers just like all of you. i also having pain in ribs through back.. almost 3 yrs now showing gastritis and peptic esophagitis. SEVERE burning pain ,, nonenlarged messentric lymph nodes wall thickening in esophagus. I THINK we are breathing in radiation and its in water from fukishima. And monsanto corn products have pesticide in them . .do a u tube search. i lost my job i became to ill ,, seeing dr on thurs and will have barium tests next. PRAYER is all i can say and take small amount of baking soda to kill the acid in stomach small amount with water daily

I'm having the same problems. Swollen lymph nodes in my stomach since feburary.Now im seeing a oncologist,neurologist and an infectuese dieases doc. Have had many ct scans,blood test and still no answer.But I also have Variable immunodeficency witch can cause alot of problems also.So I really cant wait to get an answer!! Now the doctors want me to stop working while they figure out the problem.
My daughter started cOmplaining of side pain all of the sudden one night! Later on it got worse she was up crying! The next day I took her to a hospital and they gave her an iv and a bunch of medicine! She had a cat scan and the doctors thought it was her appendix but they couldnt see it because of swollen lymph nodes! They couldn't figure out what was wrong, they wanted to give her this liquid die to help see the appendix but we had to go! They said it might be a virus but or apendicidous! I have been searching the Internet and I'm not sure what's wrong! I am waiting to see if it gets better and if it dosent I'm taking her to the hospital!
have anybody has swollen lyph nodes around stomach suffering from bloating?
I have been going through this for 2 yrs. I have been to my GP who done tons of blood work , then sent me to a surgeon to have it biopsied but when the surgeon done a ct scan found a problem with my kidney. so had to get that took care of . as it turns out i had an adrenal adenoma. then once i found out all that was benign then went back to dr. more blood work, been two yrs and still don't know anything. my glands stayed swollen in my collar bone for over a yr and half went down then within 2 week's time came back up again and have been worse than first time.... now i have swollen collar bone nodes that are so swollen i can't wear a bra strap over my shoulder for the pain. swelling goes all the way up and over my shoulder , also have ones in my neck swollen and two in back of my head. I have been and talked to 3 different drs and still dont have any answers
hi ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i have been seeing cll online and it fits my symptoms some and my bloodwork ,, i have high lymphocytes with heterogenous relative lymphocytosis. glands in collarbones swelled both sides and neck is hurting feels glands swell some and back hurts alot some messentric nodes seen on ct scan ONCOLOGIST did not listen to me so i am going back to demand help i cant function hardly and what can they do can they do something to help nodes go down , i need HELP
