Its from sodium intake. easy fix cut out the sodium in ur diet.

everyone says that but its not. If that were the cause, the bloating would go away at sum point, unless youre taking in sodium constantly. I had more sodium when i was flat-tummied than i do now Plus i cut out sodium completely for a week and absolutely nothing changed PLUS i recently got a blood test and the levels are normal. Whatever this condition is that so many of us have, its obviously not an easy fix, its very challenging and disheartening.

Well said. I truly believe it is gas in the belly. I only conclude this because that's what it feels like, pushing outward, when pushed on with a finger it bounces back, not like fat, and not like swelling from salt. I too regulate my salt because I thought that was it. It's good to regulate salt, but isn't causing the distended belly. Sometimes I push hard on my belly and will eventually fart or burp. It hurts like a gas pain sometimes. Really feels like air inside. Maybe the way I swallow food?

With that said, who the he'll knows what causes it. I try eating different healthy foods every day. Fruit, nuts, fish, chicken. Little BBQ sauce,
Trying to cut sugar.

Anyone else think it's gas?

this happens to me too! i am 5'5'' and 105 lbs and i eat really healthy all throughout the day but then at night i eat a couple portions of chocolate or ice cream. i think that is why my stomach protrudes. im going to try not eating desserts at night. hopefully the problem will be gone! please tell me if you found something that worked for you!

Hey guys, I have this but its improving, have a read.
I've also had this problem throughout my life, and I mostly put it down to me being overweight. However, I've been losing weight for the last 6 months and I'm now getting to a stage where my weight is normal, but I still seem to have this problem. It seems some people here are at very low weights already, so I don't recommend losing weight of your BMI is going to be too low.

The problem I seem to have is called "Anterior Pelvic Tilt", which causes our bottoms and stomachs to protrude, due to our pelvis tilting. This is corrected by various exercises that strengthen the core. A simple google search on "anterior pelvic tilt" will spring many results which will show exercises that help.

Also, because our backs are curved and our bottoms protrude, our abdominals are stretched and weakened. So when eating, our stomachs expand easily, with our abdominal muscles not providing necessary resistance.

So my plan has been to do exercises that help correct anterior pelvic tilt and focus on strengthening the core. In terms of your diet, just keep eating healthily to maintain your weight, unless you're actually overweight.

I'm still not entirely happy with my body, and have started this recently.

I sure wish i knew what is going on with my stupid bloated stomach too. I am 5'8 and 115 pounds. I am recovering from a medical issue with my stomach that caused me to lose a lot of weight. before the issue. my stomach was fine, but now, it bloats not only after every meal, but pretty at the moment i wake up in the morning. it can go from looking like a full belly, to a 6 month pregnant woman. I always tyrto suck it in, but it gets so annoying some times. I feel for you. I sure hope some diagnostic solution can come to.

I was always in good shape with a slim figure, but after my 50th birthday, my stomach started getting larger. I was'nt concern in the beginning. I thought , okay, a little bloating, it's probably gas, then it got larger. I'll just workout more, I said to myself, since I knew I was'nt working out as often as I use to, that did not work either. Not only did my stomach get larger, I would feel toned the first couple of days of excercise, but then I owuld start getting severe cramps everywhere (legs, feet.arms, hands), a few times my whole back just became one big cramp. When I was younger, excercise would eliminate cramps not make them worst. Anyway my stomach has reached a certain size it seems to be remaining at, and nothing I have tried so far has helped. I'm not gaining weight but my stomach does'nt seem to be going anywhere.

I am the same! I have a feeling sit ups may help, but you know? One thing we all have in common, is we're all skinny! I think whoever said that our innards have to stick out because they just won't fit inside our titchy bodies may be right... Still it's annoying looking like a 5 year old.

I think it is your digestion. Your stomach cannot process food very well maybe because you have eliminated certain foods from your diet or you are not intaking enough fibre to help your system process the food.

Try to drink a cup of salted water every morning and wait until you poop before you eat anything. It cleanses your stomach so that new food can be digested more easily.
