This is most likely nothing to worry about. You probably ate something that doesnt digest well for you. As for the stool floating or sinking, stool idealy ahould sink.

For Heaven's sakes, people -- get to a doctor. They can probably answer your questions in the first 5 minutes of your visit w/o further investigation. If you're having pain or strange stools, you may need a test or 2 but it's better than spending all this time searching the web and communicating with people who also don't know. Please -- better safe than sorry.
Yes I'm having the same oblong bean like pods in my poop. Stomach discomfort n watery stool. And YES I take extended release diabetic medication called Proglutrol. There seems to be a trend here. Diabetes, watery stool, stomach discomfort n weird oblong off white pods. Does this mean the medication is not absorbed and serves no purpose? Bjaysus!

Wow, I recently developed these. I am a celiac. I don't take the drugs you guys are taking. I take protonix for heartburn and a few others. Mine are just like kidney beans, cut them open and white inside.

I went to a Doctor of Traditional Chinese medicine. Is working, though slower than I'd like. The medicine is pretty bitter awful. This is my only treatment option, as I can't poop a living sample on a random day of testing...not that these "magic beans" fit in the sample container...this started with a blockage that turned out to be ascaris! Now I'm finding I've got a parasitic party going on inside me, and the noise is certainly keeping me up at night.
