For this not to come back you need to go on a candida diet for 2-3 months.
I am the wife of an M.D all his patients are cured including me. Thanks to his best friend who is a naturopath.... You can heal,Without medication
But you also need to take good strong probiotics (kept in fridge)
Google candida diet

You can be cured and maintain it until it is cured. Look up the candida diet first. Wear cotton underwear, purchase vaiginal wipes and use them daily if there is an odor, purchase probiotics and refridgerate them. I purchased a 2-bottle-pack for 10$ at walmart and also the wipes are under 10$. This discharge problem made staying wet tough for me during sex so I purchased an organic lubricant and it has solved that problem for me as well! Good luck hope things get better

Most anti candida diets say to avoid wipes of any kind because they contain alcohol & other bad ingredients even baby wipes! Also good probiotic are expensive & they should be over 2-6 billion to give you full benefits

You can get this by sex or the way you shower. First if u are washing ur vagina with female washes made for the vagina, if you use it everyday you kill the good bacteria in the vagina which causes thick white discharges (wet toilet paper like) somethimes it has a smell to it. Its a yeast infection proper way to clean is dove soap n water so the vagina doest get dry. Sex can cause it if your partner is having sex with someone ealse and your vagina reacts to the difference of his penis since he had sex vaginal fluids stay on the penis and you got introdused to this fluid by your partner.

This is bog standard wrong info. When it comes to Candida which is does not mean occasional thrush. Then fungal creams from the doctor and pharmacy only makes the condition worse. Do not use a prolonged course of antifungals. Do not even bother with a doctor or pharmacy as these places will not provide answers to Candida or constant thrush problems... There are candida forums online and you will get all the info you need.

I've had this problem before. And yes, in some cases, it IS toilet paper. See, off-brand and inexpensive stuff isn't patterned well and fibers of the toilet paper stick to the outside of the vagina after every use. The bits and pieces work themselves into the vagina, sometimes they even get near the cervix, throughout the day until you take a bath. But some are still in there. I got this problem while I used cheap toilet paper and when I was dry. Normally, when you're wet you pass things more easily out of your vagina that aren't supposed to be there. My advice is, if it IS toilet paper like in my case, just buy a better brand that has a better make up and doesn't tear as easily. Change the brand, and THEN if it persists, go to the doctor.

I am pregnant and had this issue before becoming pregnant but it is far worse now. Like everyone else, it's not an infection or something fungal. I was told that it is due to pH levels. If the vagina is more acidic it is in a cleaning overdrive.  This is actually a good thing. It happens with higher levels of estrogen, which explains why it is worse for me now that I am pregnant. Best thing to do is avoid douches or any treatment. Try to eat less acidic foods. To clean your vagina, use a gentle fragrance free soap and your clean fingers.

I have read almost every single comment on all 14 pages here and 1) am amazed to read these descriptions that are EXACTLY like what I've been experiencing for as long as I can remember and 2) convinced that for most of us who have ruled out BV or a yeast infection.... CYTOLYTIC VAGINOSIS is the answer, as mentioned by many of you. My husband is a PA and so I'm familiar with a particular professional publication for NP's & PA's...when I googled Cytolytic Vaginosis a link to an article in that publication showed up. Describes it perfectly. The article is from 2007. It mentions the sitz bath and/or douche with baking soda mixture. I can't believe I finally found this answer after all these years & can't wait to show this article to my husband.

But remember, I you still need to rule out yeast infection (the candida diet some have mentioned cant hurt!!! Feed your body healthy, whole foods. avoid sugar and junk.) and rule out BV. But SERIOUSLY, look up Cytolytic Vaginosis right now! I had never even heard of it before. Wonder what my gyno will think of this.

Hello Ladies,I have been dealing with this wet tissue-like, thick discharge issue myself for several months now, but I believe I have an answer to the puzzle, at least for some of you. Initially, I had noticed that my discharge seemed really thick and white, almost pasty, and had a little bit of an odor. Not a very strong odor, just...off. You know, "not so fresh," which is why I scheduled my annual when I did--about a month earlier than I was actually due for it. I had also been with a new partner and I figured that it couldn't hurt just to be safe and get myself looked at.  So, I went in for my annual exam and the nurse told me I had a yeast infection, which I was very surprised about because I had virtually no symptoms. No itching, no redness. Ah, but that slightly off odor was an indicator, so I learned that yeast infections can be quite tricky and you really need to pay close attention to your bodies' signals and odor is definitely an indicator of yeast, as well as other dis-ease.

I treated it with antibiotic cream, which I am not fond of, but I just wanted to get rid of it. Although the smell went away, the thick white discharge remained. I followed up with probiotics, as is recommended after using antibiotics. I also started taking holistic measures to try and get rid of it because I don't like the harsh antibiotics and I wanted to try to help prevent them in the future. I added more yogurt and other probiotic foods to my diet and tried to eat food without much sugar. I reduced my wheat intake and added more whole grains. I started using a tincture to ward off candida that has pau d' arco, usnea, spilanthes, thyme, oregano, and Oregon grape. I tried ingesting more alkaline foods, bee pollen, and always cleansed my vagina with a little diluted apple cider vinegar every few days to keep things more balanced. Still the discharge.  I even resorted to homemade herbal suppositories that contained white oak bark, goldenseal, myrrh, witch hazel bark and a bunch of other herbs. It was like a crazy herbal pesto in my vagina. I had to douche to get it all out. Not fun! I tried tea tree oil suppositories, too, which was a lot better than the herb "pesto" but...that discharge was still there.

Something was STILL off. :P

I noticed that the fluid would end up accumulating all over my boyfriend if we had sex and it was pretty embarrassing. I also started having pain during intercourse, feeling a low sex drive, and having cramping, bloating, and fatigue. During all of this I had been checking my fluids regularly. I At some point I had checked myself while I was in the shower and really looked at the fluid closely, even rubbed it between my fingers, and I realized there was the wet tissue-like consistency to it. Like little wads of wet toilet paper or little bits of white skin. It freaked me out. I put my whole finger in and literally scooped a bunch of this stuff out. I started crying and kept scooping until I felt "clean." What the hell was going on with me?  That's when I started looking things up on the internet and found this thread. It was a relief to know I wasn't alone, but I couldn't find the answer to the mystery. One of the women on here mentioned endometriosis, which was a bit of a scare to me. I looked up the symptoms of that and found it wasn't exactly consistent. The tissue discharge associated with that typically occurs during menstruation and my discharge seemed to be the worst right after I ovulated. Then I thought maybe it was leukorrhea. I also started worrying about infertility and pelvic inflammatory disease. I was pretty much losing it. So, all of this said, I knew I needed to make another appointment with my doctor and see if things were as bad as I feared.

Well, have an answer and I wonder if it might be consistent with some of the ladies who have posted here. It turns out that the yeast was long gone, my herbal preventatives and diet helped with that, but I have an overgrowth of lactobacillus and I am shedding a good amount of epithelial cells! Lactobacillus! The very probiotic I had been trying to put in my diet to stay healthy. Well, I guess I didn't need any extra! The condition is called Cytolytic vaginosis (CV).  Here is a very informative link about Lactobacillus overgrowth:

The other issue is the excess epithelial cells. Shedding epithelial cells is normal and the amount we shed can fluctuate, particularly as our hormones fluctuate.  Shedding excess epithelial cells is consistent if there is a lactobacillus overgrowth.

So, wa-la! I am going to follow up with the recommendations and see how it goes. I hope this post might help some of you wonderful women out there who have been suffering with the same struggle as me. Happy healing!

Wow, I just noticed that a guest who posted just two posts before me had also figured out the issue. Funny how synchronicity works sometimes!

I know what ur going thru! I have never had a yeast infection or this type or discharge but the other day I had a large marble size clump of toilet paper looking substance come out of me while I was usin the restroom. No smell, no color besides white, I have no pain or itching either. But it freaked me out so bad that I purchased a home cleansing kit, then a yeast infection gel kit and used them both. That was last night. Today the white clumps are coming out a lot and I think it's the gel medication coming out along with the clumps that are inside. Maybe it has to come out that way?? I'm totally freaked. I have a bf who will be understanding but I'm so embarrassed. I cleanse well, I have normal discharge but this is beyond anything I've ever had.

If the clumps do not stop in a few days in want to try a home mixed douche of something to trybtonwash the stuff out. I've read so much, but what is the proper mix to restore the vaginas natural ph and get rid of this stuff?
