These conditions are annoying LOL and can make someone anxious so I'm just gonna clear it up. The following conditions are all normal.

1) Pearly Papules

First of all, I dont think these guys are talking about papules, because those are a WHOLE bunch of small white dots around the penis.

picture of pearly papules:

2) Fordyce's Spots

Also, you dont get Fordyce's spots inside the penis lol
Those are small dots outside the foreskin.

3) Tyson's Glands

Tyson's glands are secretory glands which are symmetrically located on either side of the frenulum. They appear as small para-frenal papules which can easily be mistaken by anxious patients as genital warts. BUT ITS NOT AN STD, so its okay. This is what you have most likely.

I have this and yea its so f*****g annoying but its normal its just glands.
Idk if you can get rid of it or not, but dont worry its not an std.

This is the greatest day of my life. Im turning 18 soon, and i have been worrying about these spots for about 4 years now. I even thought it was something lethal when i was younger, like HIV and i even cried sometimes. Ive been perfectly healthy all my life. Turns out they are fordyce's spots!! Im 100% sure of it. I didnt have sex anytime close to when the spots appeared, but still i kept thinking it has to be something horrible. Man, its the biggest relief ive ever felt. AWESOME!!

I agree, I've been really upset and down about mine, I never really noticed them and because I worry so much I forgotten how long I've had them, but I've had a few sexual partners and I've used condoms but I got drunk and had sex with a girl without a condom (I'm 17 by the way). I came home and washed and washed and washed and I looked and while I was washing I saw white dots inder my foreskin it's only on one side. It's like a little red line with a few white dots in a row it's been 6/7 months since I had sex with her and I have a new girlfriend and head over heels for her and I just don't know how to tell her I don't want to do anything I've always told her no I don't want to and what not.

I've been trying to go doctors I'm just so scared, but it sounds like the same problem everyone has just tiny white dots about 1mm if that. I don't have any itch, pain when going toilet, no discomfort, I clean daily with clean warm water, I sweat a bit and I started masterbaiting very early when I was about 12 and been doing it regularly since. I just don't know what to do, even if people say it's nothing because I openly told my parents and they said not to worry, and that my brother had them but I don't know if their saying it to stop me worrying?

I'm so scared the doctors will say it's something serious or nothing at all.

it is smegma....
Smegma (Greek smēgma, "soap")[1] is a combination of exfoliated (shed) epithelial cells, transudated skin oils, and moisture. It occurs in both male and female genitalia. In males, smegma helps keep the glans moist and facilitates sexual intercourse by acting as a lubricant.

Both males and females produce smegma. In males, smegma is produced and accumulates under the foreskin; in females, it collects around the clitoris and in the folds of the labia minora (also called the clitoral hood).
Females

Glands that are located around the clitoris and the vulva secrete sebum. The accumulation of sebum combined with dead skin cells forms smegma. Smegma clitoridis is defined as the secretion of the apocrine glands of the clitoris, in combination with desquamating epithelial cells[5]
Males
Smegma can accumulate on a penis.

Smegma was originally thought to be produced by sebaceous glands near the frenulum called Tyson's glands, however subsequent studies have failed to find these glands.[6] Wright states that smegma is produced from minute microscopic protrusions of the mucosal surface of the foreskin and that living cells constantly grow towards the surface, undergo fatty degeneration, separate off, and form smegma.[2] Parkash et al. found that smegma contains 26.6% fats and 13.3% proteins, which they judged to be consistent with necrotic epithelial debris.[6] Newly produced smegma has a smooth, moist texture. It is thought to be rich in squalene[7] and contain prostatic and seminal secretions, desquamated epithelial cells, and the mucin content of the urethral glands of Littré.[4] Some state that it contains anti-bacterial enzymes such as lysozyme and hormones such as androsterone,[3][4] though others dispute this.[8]

According to Wright, little smegma is produced during childhood, although the foreskin may contain sebaceous glands. She also says that production of smegma increases from adolescence until sexual maturity when the function of smegma for lubrication assumes its full value, and from middle-age production starts to decline and in old age virtually no smegma is produced.[2] Oster reported that the incidence of smegma increased from 1% among 6-7 year olds to 8% among 16-17 year olds (an overall incidence of 5%).[9]

One study found that subjects who retracted the foreskin when bathing were less likely to have smegma accumulation.[10] An early study by Plaut and Kohn-Speyer (1947)[11] found that horse smegma had a carcinogenic effect on mice. Heins et al.(1958)[12] used human smegma on mice and found a carcinogenic effect, but Reddy and Baruah (1963) were unable to reproduce this effect, concluding that if a carcinogenic effect did exist, it must be weak. In other more recent studies, smegma was found to be a risk factor among penile cancer patients.[13][14] However, the American Cancer Society says that smegma itself is probably not carcinogenic,[15] and a recent review concluded that "the evidence does not support the theory that smegma is a cause of genital cancer. "[3]
Smegma in other mammals

In healthy animals, smegma helps clean and lubricate the genitals. In veterinary medicine, analysis of this smegma is sometimes used for detection of urogenital tract pathogens, such as Tritrichomonas foetus.[16] Accumulation of smegma in the equine preputial folds and the urethral fossa and urethral diverticulum can form large "beans" and promote the carriage of Taylorella equigenitalis, the causative agent of contagious equine metritis.[17] Some equine veterinarians have recommended periodic cleaning of male genitals to improve the health of the animal.[18]

It's definately not smeg. For me it was this Hirsuties papillaris genitalis people have mentioned. I've had it since I was about 12 yrs old and I am now 23 and have only just worked out what it was (Being too embarassed to see a doctor). It doesnt cause any discomfort so I just left them. I have had a fairly healthy sex life but knew it couldn't be a STD due to it first occuring way before I had sex. All my partners have never said anything about them, whether thats because they haven't noticed them or they know they are normal I don't know. Apparently you can have them cosmetically removed if they bother you so much but I guess that would be expensive.

Hi guys,
Sounds like a lot of people have a similar "problem"-advantage, as I think it is (I have them as well). If it's not a desiese or infection I think chicks like to have a bit of that, if you know what I mean. I never had a problem and have done all the tests, have a child. Although they are very sencitive and make things more enjoyable. Thenx all the same!!

Hey all,
I ma mom of two sons, and my 9 month old happens to have these little spots you are talking about. Tonight when I pulled back his foreskin to keep it from ripping at all, the foreskin came over the head of his penis, but on the foreskin itself, there were little white pimples. its not smegma, its not that other thing. they look like little white pimples. he has like 7 of them, he had similar things on his face when he was just a baby baby,,do u think it could just be baby acne still? since this is a new area of foreskin i have not pulled down yet?

First Off, a Distinction. I am talking about Hirsuties papillaris genitalis (Bumps solely on the base of the head) NOT Fordyce's spots (Under the skin bumps throughout the entire genital area).
----
Whew, thank god I am able to find someone else with the same problem... from the looks of it several other people.

I have this condition too. From the link someone posted earlier to Wikipedia for "Hirsuties papillaris genitalis" (WARNING: There is a close-up picture of a penis) I am very sure this is what I have. This is nearly identical to my condition.

I believe (at least in my case) this was caused by bad hygene. I had not been cleaning under my foreskin...

Well good and bad news.

Good News:
Completely Harmless
Non-Contagious

Bad News:
Awkward Noticeable Bumps
Removal Achievable only by "CO2 laser or with a hyfrecator" (both of which require telling a doctor)

I was wondering something. I am uncircumcised, and from the tone I am hearing from other peoples posts you all are too. Is this true? Do only uncircumcised men have this condition. So far that seems to be the case...

Hi,
I also have little white spots and have had them for ages. I don't think its anything anyone has described. The clostst thing is fordyce spots but mine are just concentrated at the top of the foreskin. I can't pull my foreskin back all the way so when i do pull back the head of my penis only comes out like half way and my foreskin has like a red ring which doesnt let it stretch anymore and around this red ring these little white spots appear, u can't really notice when the foreskin is not stretched but you can really notice them when it is.
These spots are only on my foreskin and I havent found any pic that is the same.
Any idead what they could be?
Thanks
