What have been the outcomes of everybody else's pregnancies?
For the last couple of days I have been bleeding and passed a blood clot the size of a 10pence peace.wenthospital today and they scanned me baby was fine heart beat was goin 10to a dozen.still bleeding and passing small blood clots.
I am not sure if that I am regnant or not. If i am I am possibly around 9 weeks. I was having these same symptoms (blood clots light bleeding) and it could very well be Subchorionic Bleeding During Pregnancy. It is normal in early pregnancy. It can be caused by implantation or just a blood clot between the uterine wall and the sac. The treatment is just rest, relax, and the doctor may put you on bed rest. Also the doctor would suggest to have no intercourse till it had settled down, and no heavy lifting of course, and no heavy exercising. The doctor will have you come back in a week or two to look at the placenta around the placenta, and Uterine wall to see if the blood clot has gone away. Or it can just be the the uterus is expanding as well. It can startle you as did for me.
Hi everyone. Just wanted to put in my two cents on this question if anyone else is experiencing similar problems. I too had light spotting and small blood clots during week 6 of my pregnancy. When I went to my first doctor's appointment today, I was so scared that I couldn't tell if the nausea I was feeling was because of fear of bad news or morning sickness!
Upon getting an ultrasound, I was told that my baby had a healthy heartbeat and I likely experienced spotting (which was brown) due to implantation (which is a good thing!), and that the color brown is indicative of old blood accumulated in the uterus or cervix. They weren't sure what caused the blood clots, but that said that it is not uncommon (and neither is the spotting) because as your uterus grows and you experience hormonal changes, your body will attempt to "clean out" bad organisms itself as your uterine lining develops. I have another ultrasound next week because it was so early to check on the heartbeat.
You should see your doctor immediately if you have heavy bleeding and severe cramping, but that does NOT necessarily mean miscarriage. Anyone who tells you that bleeding during pregnancy is uncommon doesn't know what they are talking about.
The bottom line is that everyone is different and there are no black and white rules on how your body is "destined" to act during pregnancy. Also, when I was freaking out, I wish someone would have told me to relax. Focus on the positive, and quit worrying about things that haven't happened yet! While most women go on to have uneventful, healthy pregnancies, the possibility of miscarriage is excruitiating. Most miscarriages are due to chromosomal abnormalities and are decided without your control. The healthiest woman can do everything right, and if its not God or nature's plan, the pregnancy might end before it really begins no matter what you do. Pray for strength to accept the things you cannot change, courage to change the things you can (I'm still struggling with the fact that I can never smoke again!) and most importantly, the wisdom to know the difference.
Good luck and god bless
go see your doctor i did i have the same problem
