This has happend to me three times in the last nine months. The first time was severe abdominal pain, centered mostly around my belly button. I thought it was gas pains at first, but it lasted several hours. i couldn't sit down or anything. It was awful. I had eaten fast food that night, so I attributed it to that. The second time it happened, a month later, I was in pain for 3 days. I went to the ER and he said it was stomach spasms. Gave me some relaxers and sent me home. I remembered I had eaten trail mix that night. The third time it happened, two months later, I had also eaten trail mix the night before. The pain was so excruciating that I couldn't breathe. I went to the ER again and after blood work and an abdominal CT scan he told me I was having back spasms and sent me home with muscle relaxers. Again. I, personally, think the ER doctors were wrong and it has something to do with greasy foods and nuts/seeds. So, I have been avoiding them both and haven't had any more trouble yet. Hope this helps.

Pushing on your abdomen is a quick check for blockages, knots, or growths.

If it just tinkles out .then you urethra tube is close in up.that's what they told me.i am on batria antibiotics for the next 6months.i am prone to infection.so you might need to get it checked out.it could really hurt you.you urine won't have no where to go and causes batria in the kidney and could also go to your liver.please check it out before you end up with liver problems or kidney problems.

I've had it since high school. I'm now 44 and get at least 5 a year. It's blocked gas and poop. I roll on a yoga ball to move it around. You intestines can move a bit and this is why some don't notice it until later in life. I know for this pain your body will shut down. The doctors noticed my intestinal track is a bit to the right. They found that by chance. So > f it even bent a little the air gets trapped and sometimes poop. This why the yoga ball gets rid of the pain. I just roll around on my belly and it really helps.

I have the exact same things that happen to you but my doctor says it ibs. I take dicyclomine 20 mg (bentyl 20mg) it helps some. I have at least one to two a week. I feel for you. he says there is no cure. sometimes when it happening I feel like I am dying.

I experienced this two weeks ago and then again two nights ago. I know I ate a burger with sesame seeds on it two days ago along with peanuts and coke for a snack that afternoon. I ate a salad, that evening which included strawberries. I started cramping right after I went "P", then later, nausea, vomiting, and cold sweats, and along with all that the pain just wouldn't ease up. The only thing I could do was be still, try not move an inch and take deep breaths as though I was in labor with quadruplets. Men experiencing this can actually say they know what women go through to have kids.
I thought back to the episode two weeks ago and realized I ate Sesame Chicken and a salad with strawberries in it. Could that be the culprit??

I had this situation in the past and had it for over 15 years but I think I finally found out the reason and possibly a way to help many of you. I was waking up in the middle of the night with terrible pains in my abdomen. It felt like gas was just running the entire course of my body because it hurt everywhere. I would try to go to the bathroom but would just sit there and shake. Sometimes I would get chills and other times I would sweat and to the point where I would pass out. After several doctor visits, with no success, I did change my diet and got off of red meat, salt and nuts. BUT, the thing that made a HUGE difference was taking Metamucil every morning. It comes in a powder (orange flavor) and I mix 2 tablespoons with tap water (about 8 oz). It is all natural, and it really makes you regular. It's almost like I wasn't "getting the job done" before because I have not had a single episode since I started taking it. It's about $18/bottle and has 114 servings so will last you a few months. My Doctor recommended it after everything else was not working and she is my hero. I feel like I don't have to worry about the episodes coming back as it has been 2 years since I had an episode and they were about twice a year prior to this. I really hope this helps some of you as I know what you are going through.
