I had a vaginal ultrasound and my lining is 5mm after the Nova Sure ablation, the doctor said that wasn't too bad, does anyone know anything about this, I was told that you need a mininum of 7mm to carry a pregnancy and that if I took estorgen I would most likely be able to build my lining up to 7mm and have a successful pregnancy does anyone have any input, thank you so much.
I was wondering how everyone was doing with their pregnancies? Just happened to stumble upon this and am in the same situation. I had an ablation about a year and a half ago. Still have regular periods every month, just a little lighter. My husband and I would possibly like to have another child; but I am not sure what direction to take. It sounds like you can have a vaginal ultrasound done to look at the uterus lining? Would this be the first step to take? Thanks for any input -
I had the procedure done on Dec 4th 2006. I had very little bleeding after the procedure until two weeks later. My periods & clots were so heavey & long they would push an ultra or super plus tampon out of me and would soak the overnite pad I had on for extra protection. I would still soak my clothing. My life was hell and I learned to live with this for six days out of every month ever since I had my first miscarriage at eighteen. The periods started coming every eighteen days just in the last two years. So they gave me the choice of this or a removal of the uterous. I opted to keep my uterous. Well it has not been any better getting this ablation. I still have periods more often and they last longer just lighter. I went from six days of bleeding to 15 days of bleeding slowly but surely. Now my sex life is horrible we have only been together twice since the surgery. My body did not get enough time for the bleeding to let up before it started back again. The clots are just more loose than before. I wish I still had my six day hemmorage rather than the two weeks of bleeding slowly but surely. Then after reading your stories, I still have a chance of getting pregnant. Oh you don't want to hear my pregnancy horror stories. I have three beauties ages 18, 10, & 5. Yes I was only able to have a baby in the 80s, 90s and then the last was in 2001. I only know that the doctors can tell me I had four miscarriages in between the children I have. The periods were so bad I could sware that more of them were miscarriages. I believe that my periods cost me jobs, my marriage, and my sanity. I didnt realize it over the years but now that I look back I know for sure they did. Now my doctor tells me that I am a perfect candidate to have my uterous removed through the vagina and boy I cannot wait. If I see another drop of blood I feel like i am going to pass out. I am currently bleeding and am very week and tired because of it. Ladies be careful in whatever you do. Wether it's having a baby after ablasion or getting an ablasion or a hyster. It seems to me that the only good choice is a hysterectomy for me.
I just want to know have you had the tubal reversal and if so were you able to get pregnant even after the ablation. I am going through the same situition right now.
has anyone had any luck with a pregnancy? I did speak with one women who has a ablation and did carry the baby til term.
Has anyone else had a vaginal ultrasound? Do you know how much lining you need to carry a baby to term? I know most reports say 7mm. Mine is at 5mm. Thanks,

i am wondering how I go about this. I had tubal ligation and novasure and have had no periods since. it has been just over a year and have gotten divorced and am in a new erious relationship and we want to get married and have a baby in the next few years what are my chances? How long does it take for my endrometrium to grow back???? I am in need of any and all advice. thanks
could someone please reply? thanks
Does anyone know of a doctor in Missouri that would even consider a tubal reversal after an ablation has been done too? We're desperate! Thanks!
could the woman who was 25 weeks after an ablation last nov. please let us know what happened? i am assumming not good because she was keeping us all imformed til 25 weeks and just stopped. looks like things didn't turn out?
she is probably dead since they tell you to make sure you do not get pregnant. this is extremely harmful to you and how can you carry a child without a lining
my doctor made me sign forms that i did not want to get pregnant. if i did i would not have had this procedure

please tell me you are serious. the woman said she was having a healthy pregnancy up to 25 weeks. there have been others who have had a good lining after the proceedure and have carried to full term. i know they tell you not to but women have. i am six months out and although my periods have been significantly reduced, i am still menstrating at a good clip on time. this means i still have some linning and i am a healthy relitively young woman. i did not realize that you could die from this. i had one of the top doctors in boston perform this and there was no talk of this what so ever!
please tell me this isn't so!!! i had a nova sure 6 months ago from one of the best doctors in boston and he wasn't saying anything like this. i still get a healthy period and it is much better but still a regular period, which leads me to believe that i can still conceive because i still have a healthy linning. i have read of many who have conceived and carried a baby to term. i know not everybody can but a lot more do than you would think. i wish she wouldfollow up and tell us what happened and not dead. thanks, cheryl
