I read a few of the posts. I had a hard pimple on my face that wouldn't erupt or go away. then I developed a boil on my hip. I read somewhere that these conditions are caused by toxicity of the blood. One recommendation was to eat a lot of oranges and of course drink water. Well I bought a bag of organic oranges, took Vitamin C powder in water, and burdock capsules. Then I noticed that the pimple on my face finally went down after being there for months. The boil has erupted and is still draining but the swelling has gone down. I think the best way to treat these conditions is from the inside out while using antiseptics on the outside.
I had a spot which grew to about 2cm in size. It was a little painful when I touched it. After about a week it burst and I could see evidence of an ingrown hair that had become infected.

I'm 15, and have had to get sooo many of these drained in the ER! its always the same spot ( on my right side in between my thigh and private) its left a cluster of scars :( I thought I was the only one who went through this! its so uncomfortable and frustrating!!!! im a virgin, and I don't shave my private area! I trim with a small comb and scissors and that's it. They always grow huge too. about the length of the side of thumb. it rarely goes away on its own, and I always have to get it surgically drained. its embarrassing and depressing. D:
Get that area lazered and I promise u won't get them anymore. I used to bc of ingrowns but lasering zaps the follicles so they won't even grow n become an ingrown.
dont ever try to put needle into your bumb, this may lead to severe infection and u would require immediate surgery.
Boils consist of inflamed hair follicles in the skin. Staphylococcus aureus bacteria or another type of bacteria enters the hair follicle through a cut or abrasion.
i dont know if anyone on this has ever looked up hidradenitis suppurativia if not then you should :)
I had the same problem I went to the er and it was an abscess they have to drain it. ALL WOMEN WHO HAVE THIS PROBLEM GO TO A DOCTOR!!!!! This does not happen because of sex or std. Don't try popping them yourself you have a high risk of getting a blood infection.
So I've had an issue of this red small like bumps directly on my bikini line. I thought they were ingrown hairs but they are very sore and sensitive. I've squeezed and popped one before and nothing but blood came out. I've been getting them more often then before. What is it and what are causing them? Old ones have left a purple ish mark on my bikini line from previous ones that have dissappeared
I was looking for the same thing you were. Did you ever find out what caused all the hair to grow in it? I just experienced the same thing and for a month I have thought cyst or ingrown hair until tonight. I had the exact same thing happen to me.
I had this problem had a big red lump come up on left side and tried squeezing it to see if it would burst but nothing. I ended up going to a&e after 3 days if having it as pain was so bad I couldn't do anything and I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. They kept me in over night on iv antibiotics and fluids and I was also nil by mouth. The following morning at 11.30 they took me to theatre put me under general anaesthetic and cut it open to drain it out. I was in recovery for half an hour and given morphine and was then allowed to go home that evening the pain was still quite bad but took regular paracetamol and ibuprofen to help. District nurse coming in for 5 days to redress it and having 2 weeks off work. If you get something like this don't hesitate get it checked out ads I was told if I'd of left ir much longer could have been a lot worse already a temp anf bloods were all out when got to a&e but luckily I went in time. Don't be embarrassed the doctors see things like this all the time
I used to have this problem in a bad way. I started using cere ve lotion and it has gone away. You can get it at Wal-Mart. It's purpose is to get rid of tiny bumps on your arms, but I decided to try it on my inner thighs and bikini line and it has made a huge improvement.
I 1St started having this issue at 16, now 36. My OBGYN confirmed this is a very common issue for lots of people. Espically for those who have coarse hair in that region. It's when ingrown hairs get trapped under the skin and grow downwards instead of upwards. This cause the area to become irratated and leads to a boiI forming, a blood & pus filled sac of bacteria and white blood cells. The part where pimple size bumps grown to marble even quarter size (at least in some of my cases)Treatment: While in the bath apply a hot compress to the swollen area and repeat until the skin softens. Hot water opens the pores to their widest state which equals less pain when squeezing/draining the area. (And makes cleanup easier). Apply slight pressure. I find it best to roll the mass between my fingers while squeezing, away from your face. (They pop like zits). Typically you'll see a head form, it may turn gray, or yellowish white. That's the fluid coming to the top. Sometimes the hair will shootout with the rest of the gunk and sometimes you'll need to use tweezers and or a needle to remove it. When done use a cottonball to apply tea tree oil to disinfect. Alcohol dries out the skin and leaves scarring. If you can't see the hair, and are unable to remove the area irritation and swelling can reoccur and may have to be lanced by a medical professional. PREVENTION: Trim your pubs vs shaving them. When shaving do so in the shower to soften the hair, use a shaving cream or gell not soap to limit blade irritation. When bathing use a coarse sponge or Lofa to gently exfoliate the area as the hair starts to grow back. This helps free newly forming ingrown hairs. Sometimes if the hair is really deep you may have to repeat the hot compress stepfor a few days before a head forms where you ate able to squeeze it out. Hope this helps.
