Hi. I have an appt with Dr. Jacobson and am considering getting the surgery. I would love more details. What medication were you given for pain, & how long did you have to take it? How old were you when this was done? I am certainly no spring chicken and I don't know if this will affect my recovery time. Also, do you have to bring some one to drive you home? If so, where do they wait during the procedure? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
How is the pain after your clitoropexy? Does it still look "pinned up"? Also, did you have pain when you "flexed" the clitoris after 7weeks post op (not sure how to explain it any other way). Please respond with your experience
I know this is from a year ago, but I'm curious as to how much you actually paid. I have kaiser insurance and I'm really considering this for physical discomfort as well as emotional. I am on day 7 and this is not fun! As the swelling goes down it just brings on new pokes and prodding:( it doesn't help that I had two hemroids removed at the same time. I'm still not waking or sitting right. All of this better be worth it in the end because I'm feeling like a VERY irritated couch potato who only gets relief with a bad of Frozen peas on my bits!
Yes. I did and it was a really good thing. Look into doctors carefully. Mine is in Southern California in the US. Dr D didn't talk me into anything. I hear some other doctors sell you stuff. :(

It depends on the qualifications of the doctor you get. The wrong doctor could just leave you mutilated. Any surgery
cuts off vital nerves and tissue deadening sexual sensitivity. You should see a reputable gynecologist re: your pain with
sex.
7 days ago I had labiaplasty. I had struggled with how my body looked from a very early age. It also caused discomfort with clothing and certain activities. I recall going to my family doctor at age 16 and told her that I thought I was "deformed". I am now 41. What a long time to hate myself. Anyway my point is, I'm from Australia and did not have to pay for this surgery. My gynecologist performed this procedure and although there are certain aspects I'm hoping will improve with the healing process, I feel so much more confident about myself.

Not sure to get this surgery, I never really had an issue until my older years, as they have gotten bigger and a bit darker. It is a lot of money and I have great sex already. Too much moisture builds up here and it doesn't help anything. I never had a man tell me anything but there is always that stigma and it personally lowers my confidence. Idk..maybe I will not care when I am a bit older (21 year old University student now). I have money saved up from working, I only want work done on my left labia so the price couldn't be too bad..I have no insurance though.
Ladies, as an RN and a male, I will tell you that this is not a concern to the majority of men. I will go as far as to say that most men like a larger clitoris and it is not a problem. If it is something that you feel you must do then get it done for your satisfaction. A Hood reduction is a simple operation that is done with no side effects.
