Thank you very helpful. I am eating what you have suggested. It’s been 6 weeks since colectomy. Having difficulty eating more than 2 or 3 bites per meal. Stomach pains when empty, when eating. Tummy is tender as I walk softly. I lost 20 lbs first couple weeks after surgery. I’m maintaining my wait mostly due to drinking lemon aid. Lots of gas issues and acid in stomach. How many months does it take for things to settle down. Or will I always have a stomach ache and fear of eating, drinking, and pooping.

Did you return to work? Surgery was 6 weeks ago. I lost 20 lbs. difficulty eating more than 3 bites per meal. Diet as you described. Lots of gas and food in small ingesting feels like metal ball in pinball machine. I’m very weak. Can’t imaging going back to work. Hot water bottle helps. Thinking of meds to reduce stomach spasms.

I had a colectomy a little over 2 years ago and just discovered baby wipes last month. Game changer!! Why did no one share this simple information with me?? Still struggling with foods/output. Basically I eat the same things most of the time. Do you still get tired? I do, but then I just had a double mastectomy in Jan. I am almost 68. I feel guilty getting tired. Just because I don't have energy, the housework, gardening and laundry don't go away!

Its been 2 years since my colectomy. There really is no help from the surgeon or nutritionists. All they say is everyone is different. Just try different stuff. I just find my foods that are tolerable list is growing smaller and smaller. I'm thinking about trying some baby food for different flavors. I miss so many former things.

I had a colon resection years ago and was given no guidance on the types of foods to eat. Hence I ate as I did prior to the surgery with no adverse reaction. But, that was me.
