At first when I ate an hour or so later I would feel a lump in my throat like I couldn't take in enough air or I took too much in. I would begin getting a racing heart to the point it either was a panic attack or mimicked one. It happened every night for a few weeks. I had to look at the wall and curl in a ball until it would go away. I had a sense of panic like i was going to die. I just felt uneasy. I found taking a gasx helped relieve this. It actually took a bit before I noticed it was only after I ate. I had loss of appetite, lost approximately 10lbs. I also have 3 other people who live with me. Two in which are experiencing gas, the runs. One other person had it the worst with coughing up air, throwing up bile, loss of appetite, weight loss of 15 lbs in the past two months. Gas, she also had a panic attack like symptom. My main concern other than all four of us experiencing this problem with 2 having it longer than two months is my dog is now experiencing similar symptoms. He has gas, stomach stiffness, lack off appetite. I took him to the vet and his stool sample came back ok but is getting bloodwork done. I can't find anything online that has symptoms that last for months that include, gas, bloating, panic attack like, dizziness or unbalanced. I also get a lump in my throat like its closing up. I went to the doctor after my 4th week for something else and he said it was likely a bug. I wont see him for another month but I feel it won't be taken seriously. I don't know what else could cause this that would last this long where a dog can get it as well. I am wondering if anyone has these symptoms. It's bugging me

have you heard anything because Myself and three other people have the same thing but my self and one person have had it for more than two months. My dog has been experiencing this as well but I thought it was him having leg pain or something. Took him to the vet and he has low fever stiff stomach with mild bloating. its frustrating... I know its some form of bug but what the heck. how does this go away

No, I've never heard anything and I never made it to see a gastroenterologist (money). The symptoms eased up but occasionally I still have that horrible pressure. I get it when I eat mushrooms or too much cabbage or the like.

I never found anything to help me or what made it stop, but I can tell you my digestive track has never been the same. I will switch gears from being constipated and the next day I'm peeing out my butt and having to use immodium. It's frustrating, but thank God the gas pain and bloating has went away.

One thing I've started doing recently is taking a priobotic, but I cannot confirm or deny that it has actually helped me. I feel a little better, but I still suffer from either extreme or the other. Least it is less frequently. I can eat X on this day and be fine. I eat X on another day and it makes me sick. No rhyme or reason.

Cannot give you advice about your dog, but I hope he gets better soon. Did he eat anything that he shouldn't recently? The vet should have been able to give you an answer. If you have the money, I'd see a second vet.

Hi Jim, I know this is an old thread but you should know there is a red meat allergy that can develop after a tick bite. This means the allergy can come on quickly even in someone who has eaten red meat without issue their entire lives. If you're still having problems after eating red meat it might be something to look into.

Your digestive system is overtaken by bad bacteria. Starve them with no fat no carbo no meat no milk diet for as long as you can. Just boiled veggies and fruit. Plus take some good bacteria, but diet is essential. There is no other way because what is in our intestines are not under immune system protection (no blood vessels or lymfa in the food that is digested, only in our intestines). If you cannot be on above diet try one day per week, then two days per week, etc

I had a similar thing occur and it was Candida or yeast growth throughout my digestive track... Try eating foods with NO carbohydrates or sugars.. Including fruits ... The yeast feeds on the carbs and sugars ... If you go on a very low carb diet for a few days and if the belching and gas stop you most likely have Candida issues and can look up and treat that.... Sldo may experience joint pain or headaches with it too

Yeast overgrowth, Candida Albicans.

I have similar problems, but mine has just started at age 53. I am due to go for an endoscopy and colonoscopy this month. Are you taking a particular antibiotic for this bacteria? Curious.
My symptoms are exactly the same. If I eat less or smaller meals, the problem isn't too bad. It just came out of nowhere. Also, when I get so bloated, it is always worse on the left side of the body. Sometimes, it causes a pressure in my head and dizziness too. It makes me nervous as to what it really is.

This description (and many other posts here) all sound like HYPOCHLORHYDRIA - very low stomach acid. Easily fixed by taking Betaine supplements (with added Pepsin) before every meal. You may need to take anywhere from 1-7 tablets initially but after 3-6 months your body will start to produce its own acid again. Please do a google search on this very common but rarely diagnosed problem and you will see all your symptoms listed. Don't know why doctors don't address this as it is root cause of a lot of GERD/IBS/ULCERS etc. Good luck
