Sarcoidosis can be a very difficult disease to manage since it can affect any organ. I've been in and out of remission for 15 years. For some it can be extremely disabling. Remember the comic Bernie Mac? He died from complications from Sarcoidosis.
Definitely! It goes down at night and starts refilling the minute I stand up, which is why I believe it is fluid and not fat.
I have the same and have had this for over 20 years...
Get your doctor to check for thyroid disease....tsh, anti tpo levels......by blood lab. I have a fat pad....and it's known to be related with my disease. Worth a try.
I have had the same issue for several years now. For some reason the swelling is always worse on my left side. The doctors have no clue what is causing it. The only thing that I have noticed in my case, is that it usually occurs when I am starting my menstrual cycle. I am curious to know if anyone else has noticed this.
Hello how where you able to control your anxiety?
I am having the same problem both sides of my collarbone are swollen. I'm 47 years old and have never had so many problems. I have a deviated septum I cannot afford to have surgery. Then I noticed a bump on my head my ent saw it because I thought it was related. But I saw my pcp she said it's a cyst. well I can't stand the swollen collarbones because my neck feels stiff. I'm not sure if I should go back to the ent or my pcp.
I have it too and this is the first place that described it. All the doctors are baffled and tests show nothing.
I have had two cortisone shots for my left shoulder before mine started.
I have the same symptoms. Both sides of my neck. No pain and have had for some time. It will be more prominent at times and then not so much. But looks awful. I also have tried o find some pictures. Wondering if it may be something related to thyroid but doesn't sound that way. No pain of any sort associated. Sure would like to find out what it is.
Your doctor might test your T3--which is usually not done. Sometimes the T3 is low, and the rT3 is high causing problems because the rT3 clogs the receptor sites and you don't get the benefit of T3. If you Google "T3 low, rT3 high" you can read about it.
My swelling is on the right. It is not hard, just mushy. I have hypothyroidism...
Mine sounds just like yours. Did u get a diagnosis. thanks, Ashley
