Around 24 hours after drinking? I'm getting same its weird and now after like two drinks

Having it now. Starts on the neck goes down through back, chest sides and finally on leg sides. It starts 24 hours after last drink and it's usually stronger the more I drank. It normally lasts until the third day after after drinking. Don't know the reason, doesn't seem to be documented anywhere but I see from here that it seems to be very common. I think I will quit drinking for good.

I've not long turned 19 and this is the first time I've ever had an achy body after drinking. The pain is limited to my bum, thighs and right arm but it's so painful and it seems to be getting worse with time

Yes! I also suffer from mild candida issues. Did you ever figure out if that was the root of the problem?

Hi guys, I get this all the time and have looking into it extensively. I believe it is acute alcoholic myopathy. It's basically where your muscle fibres break down after binging on alcohol. there's not a huge amount online about this, so I would definitely suggest everyone goes to see their doctor.

Have either of you had breast augmentation surgery?

Yeah, I drink, feel ok for a bit then skin on torso gets inflamed, on my neck also up to jaw back of neck, chest upper arms all about 24hrs after drinking. Skin has a bruised feeling to a light touch, all over, can last for a day or two.
female 33yo I had breast augmentation surgery 10 years ago. Wondering if anyone else with these symptoms also had breast implants?

I just went searching for threads about these symptoms and came across this one. I am a 35 year old female and have had these same symptoms for about 2.5 years now. I have chronic low back pain before that and still do. I started tracking when I would get this bruised body feeling and noticed it was mostly after a few drinks...the next day. So for me, just after parties once every few months. But lately it has been getting worse. Now it happens after only 1 or 2 drinks. I thought white wine was okay, but I just got one of the worst flares of this after 2 glasses of wine the other day.

I have also gotten this while being sick. And while it gets WAY worse after alcohol, i do have some pain all the time, especially near my sternum and the inside of my knees.

Because of this, I think I have fibromyaglia, which I have seen a few others mention. My mother has it too, which makes me feel like it could be that. I've read many things about alcohol triggering fibro flares.

I looked up alcholic myopathy and that doesn't seem to fit.

Not sure the point of posting other than to say it feels validating to see so many have the same symptoms as me. And maybe to pass on that it could very well be fibromyalgia.

Hi! I am a 26 year old female who had been experiencing this for years. I'm not a heavy drinker at all. I had no muscular pain, I was just tender to the touch all over about 30 hours after drinking. So after experiencing this for several years with no answers, I was involved in an accident that led me to lose about 40% of my blood. I didn't receive a transfusion and let the blood rebuild naturally over 8 weeks. Following this, the pain after drinking has completely stopped. I'm honestly in awe. My only thought is that the cause must have been some type of toxin build up in my blood? I've had no other lifestyle changes other than my "new blood". I had been reading these forums for years trying to get to the root of the problem, so I wanted to share. Obviously I don't recommend losing blood, but it could be worth it to get some blood work done and see if any red flags come up!

Fibromyalgia runs in my family as well. I am 30 yo female with extreme full body skin pain 24 hrs after drinking. I agree that there is some type of connection. My fear is that I will someday have full blown fibro as well and look back on this as a possible first symptom....

Hi, this response is really interesting, thank you for sharing it. When I had labs done in the search to demystify this issue, everything was normal except for the fact that I have elevated ferritin levels in my blood, so an overload of iron. Hemochromatosis runs in my family, and I still have to be tested for that specific disorder with more bloodwork, but this is a super interesting correlation to me. Not sure really what it means but this is the first time anyone else's comments have resonated with me on these forums so thank you!
