Hi. I'm25 and had acne only this year, Jun-09 onwards. I never had any before! My face is damn smooth. Not anymore. I have been diagnosed with slightly high prolactin hormone level and now is back to normal after medication (ongoing still). My acne on the right cheek is more than the left! The chin / forehead are ok! I have no idea how to cure it anymore... Doctor keeps on asking me not to put on any make-up. I'm pretty stress. I only use very thin layer (not on whole face, only some concealer to cover blemishes) and I have 0% confident to go out totally without any make-up. The acne just swollen and got reddish and later make turn into scar-marks alike. Slight itchyness... When it swollen, there's no white/blackheads seen. I wonder if these are some rashes / allergy rather to acne? I'm currently using drinking green tea to wash face. Just started a few days ago and feel fresh. But the right cheek does not seems to get any better. FYI - I'm using products. I'm lost! Pls help!!
I HAD THE SAME SKIN CONDITION AS YOU ALL HAVE DISCRIBED THE ONLY THING I HAVE FOUND TO CLEAR MY SKIN IS THE GALVANIC SPA,
I have these too, and at one point they drove me so nuts, i dug in and pulled out the hard, rubbery, white, ball of whatever it is, but now I have a scar in it's place. :-( The other's are still there and seem to be staying there, which is really pissing me off. I don't know if it's the environment or what, but I never had a problem like this in my life and I've always been known to eat whatever I wanted, so I don't think it's the food. My doctor gave me doxycycline and it's not helping at all. I want to feel sexy again, this is horrible.
Well I am a guy who has this problem, It been happening for about 6 months now & has been getting worse. After clicking on the 1st link, I have a feeling I know what it is! It mostly happenes to weomen right...? Thats becuase you have longer hair. I have long hair & I keep it in a ponytail all the time, even when I sleep. But when I wake up, my hair is sometimes in a ponytail. The hair on your jawline causes it. Here is the article. I feel so releaved. Time to buy stronger, tighter hair ties.
I was traveling in SE Asia and got really bad acne after a couple months. It started off with an allergic rash on both arms that eventually spread to my legs. Doctors in Thailand gave me steroids and that beat the short term issues. By the time I got to India, I had full blown cystic acne. The acne persisted for next couple months--so painful and embarrassing. I still hate looking in the mirror and I am pretty sure I will have scars on my face for the rest of my life. I went to the Dermatologist when I got back and all she did was give me antibiotics. Those didn't really seem to work--also finding out that my family has a history of being allergic to this particular one was not a good sign. I forgot to mention that I had digestive problems on and off. I recently discovered that all of my pain and misery was caused by parasites in my intestines. Not one doctors--until I requested tested me for them. They can throw off your hormones. The Dermatologist insisted that its normal to suddenly have cystic acne when you're 23 in perfect health and no previous history. I hope that my story helps you understand that your acne may not be an illness in itself, but rather a symptom. If something seems off, be persistent, because after all you know your own body best. Doctors can't see what's inside and if they don't listen, see a new doctor. The Dermatologist completely ignored my travel story and I will NEVER go back to her again. I wrote a letter outlining my disappoint with their inadequate care. My body has been having an allergic reaction to the parasites for months. I can't wait to feel normal again or look pretty again.
I can vouch for the telephone thing. It definitely aggrevates the bumps. When I'm on the phone a lot they bumps are itchier. If you can use a headset it might help
same here im 16 i tryed chewing tobbaco some days ago and i have bumps all around my chin when poped some scamb over could it be that sh*t
I had the same thing - itching red bumps under my goatee - not acne. HUGE red bumps that would sometimes have a discharge of some sort of fluid that was disgusting. It would keep me from sleeping because I would feel something oozing down my chin. They would leave nasty looking scabby films of goo and it made it extremely hard to hold face to face conversations with my coworkers. These things would itch, burn and would make everyday eating, laughing and yawning a painful excursion. I tried everything including Neosporin, Peroxide, Herprtrol, Cortizone, anti-itch cremes and everything available at the local pharmacy. Spent over $90.00 on meds and had no luck. I finally went to see a doctor and found out that it is a form of staph infection that is somewhat common around facial hair areas with men. He prescribed me something called "Clinamycin" and "Methylprednisolone", and a topical ointment called "Bactroban". This combination stopped the itching immediately!! The redness, swelling and itching has stopped forming and ! I am on day 3 of treatment and it's almost as it never happened. And the best part is, I didn't have to cut off my goatee!!
Peace!
Peace!
I am 13 and have been using amercan soaps and this african black soap my mom(born in africa) used as a child and my family uses. Do u guys know when your body can tell when certain things might work for you or may treat a problem. there is this certain thing that will tel you if this certain thing may make it worse or heal your problem. thats hw i felt about the black soap. i didnt know until i started using neutrogena( this is the first time i used anyface wash. i was afraid that those thing wont work for me and only make it worse. my fear were right) and my acne got worse...uh. so after day 3 i stopped using it. i and using my black soap called dudu osun(funny name!) and have had no more acne and the stuff have now is going down. i highly recommend it. go to ur tropical store...african tropical store. or look for it online some were!
I had what sounds like the same thing, skin colored bumps on my face that just suddenly started appearing one day. Then the just spread and were on my cheek, down my jawline and on my chin. Tried a bunch of stuff, nothing worked. Finally I took someones suggestion and tried African Black Soap, this stuff costs $4 and it worked instantly to take the bumps away. No kidding, within two days all the small bumps were gone and then in another week all the bumps were gone. I have no idea what's in it, but it works.
I noticed that whenever i get my face lasered and also when I used to wax, i get some SERIOUS break outs. Its so nasty. Every one would be like whats wrong with your face these days? I really dont know what to do coz its I'm a hairy face or a pimple face. Which one is worse?
try this black soap called GLOW, u can find it anywhere, just put it on the acne and it'll dry it up for you then you put water and clean it up and that works, do this for at least 4 days it'll work and this helps on evrything on your face, it just cleans it up , you can use this product as much as you want and u'll have the smoothest/clearest skin ever.
To Jennyegirl, I have been experiencing this for several years spending hundreds of dollars on doctors office visits prescriptions. I've even tried herbs and no relief. I want to try what has worked for you. Can you tell me which Oil of Olay regenerist cleanser you used? (Cream cleanser or Micro Purifying Foaming cleanser?). Also can you tell me which anti aging moisturizer you use? Thank you!

1 in 12 Australian women suffer from this "jawline hormonal acne" which is a sympton due to POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (POS)
See your doctor, get a blood test and an ultra sound to confirm that you have this highly common syndrome (which is not as serious as it sounds)
Thousands of women are wasting their money on topical ointments (proactiv and clearasil are loving stupid women) when all we have is Ovarian Cyst.
STOP wasting money on facials (I spent over $15,000 in facials in 3 years because I didnt go to a proper doctor!)
You don't have to thank me.. just make people more aware that they dont have acne, they have an ovarian issue.

I am only 11 years old and I have 3 identical red spots on the jawline of my face. They are not zits or acne or anything like that. They are like what's under a small scabs. No puss. They are quite painful and sting. My Mom thinks its a rash and I've been getting red patches on my face that you get when your hand is on your face for a long time but the don't go away. I am scared because I can't find anything on the internet about it and I have no idea if it is contagious. Please help if you know anything about this.
