I have the little oil filled bumps with some dry patches and a little redness.  All just under the skin bumps near my mouth and my jawline.  The black soap helps a little and I use Zenia (prescription) at night.  It all helps but it doesn't eliminate.  The skin bumps by my jawline after I made a consious effort to not tough my face and clean my head set daily with alcohol anti bactierial wipe.

I finally ended up going to a homeopath for a completely unrelated issue and she  gave me a sulphur remedy- within a week and a half the acne that I'd had on the jawline and throat cleared up and that was two years ago- no sign of it coming back. Different things work for different people but personally i think always start with the something that works from the inside out rather than the outside in.

I have a similar problem. I have never had acne, but the last 2 years I've gotten these painful, red itchy bumps ONLY on my chin. Sometimes they have puss when you squeeze them but not usually. They are hard bumps and they're deep. Its so embarrassing and I've tried everything. I tried every acne face wash or ointment and it doesnt respond at all to acne related treatment. I went to a dermatologist and they said that acne on the chin or jawline is hormone related and put me on birth control which I hated, and it didn't help my skin issue still. I am at a loss and I am so so tired of these bumps that never go away. What should I do?

I got them too and they are very embarrassing , people are starting to think It's herpes 1. I stopped going to my dermatologist b/c all he did was pop them and give me a shot of cortizone. Which did absolutely nothing but now they are extra bigger and it's expanding all over my chin. I remember i have the same situation about 4 yrs ago but the acnec was much smaller. I am beginnign to wonder what it could be. I am 30 years old and never had a problem with acne. I saw a bunch of pictures for dermatitis and also herpes, I dont want to get carried away but noone could tell me what it is! I accpeted the fact that it might be hormonal but what can they do about it?

I paid enough dermatologist to do nothing for my skin.

Try avoiding dairy and gluten. I know it's tough, but it is probably from some kind of food intolerance. Avoid prescription medications, they do nothing but confuse your body and create more havoc.

I started taking Savella for fibromyalgia and I am having the same chin acne problem now. painful and itchy and sounds just like what you have.

I'd have to disagree with you. I'm glad you found something that works for you, but I am almost 60 & having the chin bumps too. I no longer require "birth control" & hormone supplements have done nothing to help the situation. I also tried Olay Regenerist & Pro Retin ... without success. I think I am going to try what another person suggested & that is the Black Soap. I have never heard of it, but worth a shot.

apply coconut oil  as often as possible to clean skin wuith clean hands... let it seep in... it will take ten minutes... just relax and be patient... then rub more in... do it mrning and night . you will see dead skin coming off and healing... then you can easily remove the hair. keep conditioning your skin rub it in and massage with ring finger (least pressure) your skin will get healthy and strong again. it will take months to see huge results. yet you will see them little by little also. do this for always.

Try a product called happy PMS just a lotion to rub on the skin. It enters the system there. It is all excellent for the irritated due to the week before your period hormones as well. It is all natural and Has no mineral oil in it. Produced by a company called HM enterprises from Norcross, GA

I am 42 years old and never had problems with my skin until about 3 months ago.  I tried Oil of Olay cleanser and moisturizer, they did not work.  I read everyone's responses (recommendations) yesterday, so I purchased 91% isopropyl alcohol (CVS pharmacy brand) and Alaffia Shea Butter African Black soap (from a whole food's store).  At lunch I used the alcohol at my desk and only applied to the side with bumps (5 bumps), and added a little of my hand lotion.  By the time I left work, I could see a difference (redness and pain was gone).  Well I washed my face that evening with the Alaffia African Black soap , applied alcohol and then applied the Oil of Olay Age defying facial lotion and the next morning saw a huge difference!  The bumps were big and red on Wednesday, today (Thursday), they are small! Yay!!!  I will apply the alchohol around 2pm (during my break) and then can't wait to see the results tomorrow.  I truly recommend using alcohol, the Alaffia Shea Butter African Black Soap and a moisturizer (because your face will feel clean and tight after using the soap).

PS- I also cleaned my work phone (hand set and holder with the alcohol).

May God continue to bless each of you!!!  Take care!!!

Hi all,

I too have a similar problem acne on the chin and sometimes appears on the bridge of the nose.  My dermatologist told me that it appears because i pull out my hair on the chin leaving the pores open (i also noticed the same).  Whenever you pluck your hair from the chin with the twizer please ensure to close the pores with alchohol or ice. Spirit is much better then ice as ice would help the acne and freeze oil on your skin.  so before you pulcuk the hair wash your face with a cetaphil cleanser, pluck the hair and then after a while apply a cream called benzoyle peroxide which helps the acne big time. Drink loads of water and plenty of vegatables with very little oil.  The day you eat oily food you should immediately have hotl water cup after food to melt/drain the oil before it mixes in your stomach.  Keep the area clean and non-infected.  The moment u pluck hair it gets infected.  Also make sure the twizer with which you are plucking hair is steralised.

Hope this works as it works for me.  Cheers.

i say this post about 2 weeks ago and thought let me try this after buying proactive and it not working!!!!but as i looked up black soap…its for rashes and acne and it WORKS in about 2 days I saw results as well as reading up on how to wash your face by NOT using hot water and if you use a rag it should not be harsh and use make up that is in powder form because it it less likely to clog your pores….loving this sharing of secrets to a beautiful face…one more thing …IM 43 years old and look 33 and with out these bumps I feel 23..one more thing i never used moisturizer in my life but i have learned that bumps come from dry patches in oily skin so green tea moisturizer in the day and pure coco butter at night..

Me too. Went to dermatologist, to an allergist, to a DO/ND, to a second dermatologist. I get the biopsy results from the dermatologist next week. The allergist said he thought it was autoimmune. Put me on a cocktail of antihistamines and told me to give it a couple of months. Last February, I developed a thyroid problem, and its been one allergic reaction after another. Started with a chronic cough, changed to asthma, to these red bumps. The ND/DO changed my thyroid me to Amour and put me on bio-identical HRT. As of now, I still have the bumps and nothing helps. They are red, hot, itchy and hard.
