hello, I am a 32 years old female and I have been suffering from buzzing sensation in the head for over 3 months now. I also feel a flickering all over my body ( back, legs, arms) but mostly in the head. I have seen a nuerologist, MRI,MRA,MRV, results are normal. I was also reffered to an ENT because before all these symtoms started 4 months ago I had a nasal congestion and when I tried to blow the mucus out, I became very dizzy, felt like the wall was spinning for a few seconds. Since then I had foggy vision for 2 months. My vision eventually better after a few months but the buzzing sensation in my head has not gone away. feels like its gotten worst because now I also have flickering and pulsing sensation all over my body mostly in my head. I have seen almost all type of specialist but cant seem to find whats causing the problem. The back of my neck has been hurting also and I do hear a sound more like a sizzling sound, not sure if its coming from neck, throat or ear but these feeling are very disturbing. I feel like I had developed anxiety because its been going on for a while now and still cannot rule out whats causing it. Please help if you have an idea, thank you in advance!

Have you found any answers? I have similar symptoms but they were brought on by the abuse of a prescription drug, diazepam. The top of my head burns with no relief.
Hi. I'm a 31 year old female, and I've had a buzzing in my head also for a long time now. I first started noticing it getting more frequent/intense about 6 months ago. It isn't a buzz that I can hear, it is a buzz feeling, almost like there is a vibration in my head. Sometimes I get a feeling like my head/upper body is moving also (like gentle swaying), but I know I'm not moving. When I look across the room, it's like my focus is blurry, or things are moving around a little... I've been to a chiropractor, general practice doctor, optometrist even (to try to rule things out). I've had tests run, and everything comes back "normal". I do seem to notice that the buzzing seems worse when I eat a lot of carbs at once, or when I've gone without eating for too long and then eat a piece of candy, for example. There are thyroid issues in my family, and I've wondered if maybe there's something wrong with my throid also, but the thyroid ultrasound I had came back "normal". It did say that I had an enlarged thyroid with increased vascularity, but my general practice doctor said that is normal. It is nice to know that I'm not crazy, and that other people are feeling what I'm feeling, because the few people I've told always look at me like I'm growing horns or something. I just want to figure out what is causing this so that I can make it stop. Sometimes it takes everything I have just to stand at the front of my classroom and endure the sound of my own voice (when it gets bad, the vibration of me talking drives me nuts). Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated! T
I am sorry for you condition but it made me feel better to know I was not about to go crazy. I am under a great deal of stress and I am THINKING that is the cause for mine "buzz". Does this affect your ability to concentrate?
I have had this for 5 days straight now. Worse in morning. Just moving my eyes a certain way, even when they are closed causes it. The dizziness makes me run into things so injuries result, fell down stairs twice in last day. I am under severe stress and have been for 5 years now, ever since I filed for child support and their dad attacked me. I am going to try high dose of vitamin C, and some of my essential oils to see if anything helps, I will keep you all advised. BTW doctors are useless every time I have an issue, I am just about to give up on them, too bad cuz my insurance is great.
I have a humming in my head generally in the morning when I first wake up and some times ringing in my ear. I'm wondering if you've found and solution to your situation?
how did you solve it
Get your inner ear checked.
SAME HERE IN THE HEAD DEPT. I GET A SOUND LIKE A BUZZ ACROSS THE FRONT OF MY HEAD JUST ABOVE MY FOREHEAD . I DO NOT GET IT MOST OF THE DAY , JUST WHEN I RETURN HOME UNTILL THE NEXT MORNING. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS . ANTHONY RAMSAY.
I have had the same problem with buzzing in my head and feeling dizzy which are brining on panick attacks,my doc put me on propronolol (3 daily) they helped but panic attacks started to come on strong again so i uped the dozage to 6 daily with docs permission, all was well for a couple of month then the buzzing came on strongly so i have started to take 2 paracetomol 4 times a day and feel really good,it seems to work for me because twice i have come off paracetomol and went right downhill again feeling really bad soon as i go back on paracetomol i am right as rain again, although i still have the buzzing in my head (terrible at night) i can persavere with it.I thought i was really going mad and very very frightened with this buzzing but you have to come to terms with it and convince yourself you are sane and cannot die with these symtoms.Good luck.
I just starting to have these problems I first thought it was my ear so I went to the doctor and he prescribe me some antibiotics and some Claritin-D and told me come back in two weeks but as I read these stories I feel I have the same thing you guy are describing on here it mostly occurs at night or whenever I lay down I only feel it on the right side of my head it's very annoying. I'm 25yrs old and I don't know what triggered this to happen sometimes when I wake up in the morning I have headaches I haven't had any dizziness but I'm very confused about what's happening to me.
Hi JR I have all the symptoms described above. How did you successfully solve your case? Response would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Bless
Hi, I have the buzzing in my ears and sounds in my head too. Can u tell me what was the website called please?
I am a 55 year old woman. Your description of your issue, best describes what I have been experiencing for 6 months. Doctors think it is psychological, but I know they say that when they don't have any answers. hang in there.
I have this sensation too, I find it hard to describe, it's like a hissing sound, or a sizzling as you describe it. I have been taking BP meds for over 10yrs now & my GP says it is steady. I have cervical spondylitis & my neck is almost immobile. It is disturbing, like you said.
I will give the Omega 3 and Vitamin C a shot. tired of the buzzing. Thanks!
