hello, I am a 32 years old female and I have been suffering from buzzing sensation in the head for over 3 months now. I also feel a flickering all over my body ( back, legs, arms) but mostly in the head. I have seen a nuerologist, MRI,MRA,MRV, results are normal. I was also reffered to an ENT because before all these symtoms started 4 months ago I had a nasal congestion and when I tried to blow the mucus out, I became very dizzy, felt like the wall was spinning for a few seconds. Since then I had foggy vision for 2 months. My vision eventually better after a few months but the buzzing sensation in my head has not gone away. feels like its gotten worst because now I also have flickering and pulsing sensation all over my body mostly in my head. I have seen almost all type of specialist but cant seem to find whats causing the problem. The back of my neck has been hurting also and I do hear a sound more like a sizzling sound, not sure if its coming from neck, throat or ear but these feeling are very disturbing. I feel like I had developed anxiety because its been going on for a while now and still cannot rule out whats causing it. Please help if you have an idea, thank you in advance!

I'm 14 at the moment and i've had it since I was 5 after I had this very weird dream about me walking outside to the backyard picking up my soccerball in the middle of the night. I woke up crying and screaming and since then i've had this buzzing sound in my head and ALOT of sort of particles in my sight wich is very weird, almost like the black and white snow screen on a tv without a signal but very light. I know this is someone else's topic but what do I have?
My God, I can't believe it, poor thing you are describing my symptoms, I almost believed I wrote this post. unfortunately I have suffering from this since 2008 with no answer. I realize this is an old post, I wish you would reply. This is more frequent at night, so I had many sleepless night, Drs are useless and clueless, not help Please if you can reply, I would greatly appreciate.
YOU NEED TO DETOX. THIS HAPPENED TO ME. BAD BUZZING FEELING IN MY HEAD LIKE SOMEONE CHANGED THE TV TO STATIC. NOT THE SOUND, BUT THE SENSATION. I HAD BEEN EXPOSED TO PESTICIDES. LOOK INTO CHELATION AND CHELA-DETOX ALL NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS. THANK GOD I FIGURED IT OUT AND CURED MYSELF OTHERWISE I WAS HEADING TO PSYCHOSIS... IT WAS RUINING MY LIFE AND I COULD NOT WORK OR FOCUS, HYPER SENSITIVE TO SOUNDS AND INPUT. DETOX, DETOX, DETOX AND BUY ORGANIC, DRINK ONLY PURIFIED WATER. RE-NUTIRENT AND RE-MINERALIZE YOURSELF. IT WAS A TERRIBLE FEELING AND MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, BUT SERIOUSLY, YOU NEED TO DETOX. IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE. I AM GOING TO ALL MESSAGE BOARDS TO POST THIS MESSAGE AND SHARE WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED AND HOW I CURED MYSELF.
Hi Kent
It's interesting that you mentioned taking vitamin c and B12. I have brain buzz without meds and just found out that I am deficient in those and zinc. I also don't take Omegas. I'm going to start taking them all right away.
I am 73 and I slipped on ice a year ago and hit fractured my back and broke the tibia and fibia in my leg. I am sure I hit my head too. I thought the buzzing was from something in the house but lately if I just turn my head the bussing starts. I also have hives and I feel like my lungs are full of fluid/
I have been on steroids and antibiotics but they do not help much. Any ideas
I just read some article about this symptom from doctors. They wrote it could be tumor in the neck . Foreign object or wax in the ear . If I find some thing els I'll let you know. But for now check with you doctor and ask for tumor test. Good luck
I stopped taking my one a day Benadryl at night and got rid of the buzzing. After a lot of research, I do believe the buzzing was caused by diphenhydromine. Hope this helps some buzzing heads
Hi the buzzing sensation you are all feeling in your head is due to a compressed nerve and is actually pins and needles like when you lean on your hand and your hand feels and fuzzy/buzzy due to pins and needles, its the same thing. This can happen due to migraine or head injury (even minor). Improper sitting at the computer etc..... I don't think there is a way to get rid of it really. Maybe see a neurologist and see what they say.
I have had a steady buzzing in my head for over a year now, some days the buzzing is a lot louder than others and can distract me somewhat from my daily routine and make it hard to fall asleep at night. I also get dull headaches. I am going to try the Omega 3 fatty acid capsules and Vitamin C, I would give anything for this buzzing to go away....
This is voted the best reply. You say you have solved it. Please share for everyone, then it will really be the best answer. Right not it's no answer at all and perhaps a solicitation that would be unsafe?
Good grief. I hope its better
I didn't get to add a whole lot a moment ago. I pray you got some answers. I'm looking for my own. You are the first person to describe the same thing. My description is a florescent bulb going out. That horrid buzzing noise that gets louder the worse .my stress level is. I have spots on my brain but know little more due to medical problems with my child. I would love to hear your story.
