hello, I am a 32 years old female and I have been suffering from buzzing sensation in the head for over 3 months now. I also feel a flickering all over my body ( back, legs, arms) but mostly in the head. I have seen a nuerologist, MRI,MRA,MRV, results are normal. I was also reffered to an ENT because before all these symtoms started 4 months ago I had a nasal congestion and when I tried to blow the mucus out, I became very dizzy, felt like the wall was spinning for a few seconds. Since then I had foggy vision for 2 months. My vision eventually better after a few months but the buzzing sensation in my head has not gone away. feels like its gotten worst because now I also have flickering and pulsing sensation all over my body mostly in my head. I have seen almost all type of specialist but cant seem to find whats causing the problem. The back of my neck has been hurting also and I do hear a sound more like a sizzling sound, not sure if its coming from neck, throat or ear but these feeling are very disturbing. I feel like I had developed anxiety because its been going on for a while now and still cannot rule out whats causing it. Please help if you have an idea, thank you in advance!

I've had left side of head buzzing since Sept 2010.That month I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night as I thought                someone had thumped me on the chest, left side,I had very bad indigestion same night so I'm hoping it wasn't a heart               attack.I notice the buzzing gets more prominent an hour or so after eating,so I'm hoping it's not arteriosclerosis like my                father died from at age 75.I'm 61.For years I've had candida in the intestines.I've tried every conventional and unconventional                medical remedy but to no avail. All these products on the Internet are useless.Tom.

My daughter has these signs, buzzing and electrical currents running through her body, vibrations and lots of other things sinuses. she has been diagnosed with lyme disease which is near impossible to get a diagnoses for.  most doctors at first told her it was in her head and she was depressed it is so scary when doctors don't believe you and wont acknowledge the possibility that a patient may have lyme disease.
anyone with mysterious neurological issues should investigate whether they have mercury amalgams or not   if you do, start googling mercury toxicity, amalgam illness, etc .   get the book Amalgam Illness, by Andrew Cutler.  its a long learning process, but i wish someone had pointed the way for me decades ago
does it seem like 3 or for short bursts of buzzing?zap, zap, zap, zap? sometimes like a half dozen times in a row? not sure if it the sam ethg but I blew my nose earlier as it was cold out, and my nose was running little bit:(
i have only been to nap for very short periods of time. the night it started i tthought i was losing my mind.it has been going on all night and my hands are shaking. last night i had a panic attack with both hands shaking out control. it only lasted about 15 seconds but the rest of the night i felt like someone was behind me and i kept hearing music. i am not on drugs nor have been drinking. it is in my right ear constantly. i am type 1 diabetic. i dont have insurance so im not sure what to do. without a good night sleep i will be insane soon.
i also have a soreness for no reason right below the back of neck and got dizzy twice standing up. im not sure what is going on but my right has been non stop. it sounds like the radio is on in my living room but its not.
I also have buzzing in head and the Doctor put me on anti-depressants, this stops the buzzing. The doctor said it was caused through having a traumatic event. Three weeks before the buzzing started I had my baby girl and no one would believe I was in labour until I told them I needed to push. This is what I think caused mine.

Had no idea others are experiencing this.  I get the similar electric buzzing sensation in my head...no buzzing sounds - just a sensation of buzzing or brief electrical pulsation in frontal area.   This is accompanied by momentary dizziness....like my eyes are swirling trying to focus, but I can't focus for 2-3 seconds.  This has been occurring for over 6 months starting maybe September or October 2011.  It comes on suddenly.  Often have 2 or 3 consecutive episodes a minute or so apart.  Occurs different times of the day for consecutive days; other times no problems for days or a couple of weeks.  Just when I think it's gone, it returns. I'll provide as much detail about this and some of my background so readers with same problem can determine if they have any similarities or a medical professional can associate this with a specific medical condition: I am female over  age 49.  NO present or past alcohol or drug use.  No allergery issues.  Just High cholesterol treated with Crestar.  Glaucoma treated with Xalatan.  I am Pre-diabetic with moderate high BP, but no medications for either.  There are no abnormalities with my glucose level or blood pressure when these episodes occur.  I am frequently very tired/fatigued, but fatigue has been ongoing for a couple of years.  I've had a sleep study done. No abnormalities.  I've noticed occasionally the buzzing/dizziness happens when I'm focused on text on the computer monitor, then focus on a subject to have a conversation and my vision begins to swirl counter-clockwise and an electical impulse or buzz sensation.   I had someone look at my eyes when it's happening, but they stated my eyes aren't moving or twitching.  Occasionally happens when looking at tv screen, then looking away, BUT PROBLEM ALSO OCCURS WHEN NOT DOING ANY OF THE ABOVE.  Occurs whether sitting or lying down.  Sometimes the episodes are frequent and I"ll lay my head down until it stops.  I've been to numerous doctors starting with eye doctor since it seemed related to vision, was referred to neurological ohpthamologist who sent me for an MRI that showed nothing unusual, though they said part of the image was blurred because the Open MRI machine moved during test?  Went to neurologist who dismissed it as possibly stress related or inner ear issue.  Unfortunately, I don't experience the problem while in the doctor's office, so none of the doctors have an answer.  None of the doctors seemed to think this is anything serious, which bothers me.  I'm concerned it could be a tumor pressing on something. I'm seen regularly by a glaucoma specialist to check pressure.  About 3 months ago, my eye pressure was extremely high, despite using prescription eye drops.  Doctor couldn't figure out why pressure was so high, but switched to another Rx and the eye pressure is back to normal.  Wondering if the increased eye pressure is associated with the buzzing and dizziness.  Also, as someone commented above, when i move my jaw, I hear a slight crunching or "goopy" sound in my left ear like wax somewhere in my inner ear, but ears have been checked and nothing abnormal.  Loud noises annoy me almost unnerving, especially loud tv, loud music, or someone talking too loud.  I pccasionally hear a "fluttering" sound in my left ear if listening on the phone with my left ear--like sound feedback.  It's annoying, so I usually only use right ear. Plan to go to another neurologist for 2nd opinion and an EEG to determine if perhaps these are mild seizures. If someone ever found out what this is, please respond so I know what to inform doctors.  What is this and why so many have it, but doctors can't determine cause?    Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
I've had occasional buzzing and feelings of electricity for most of my life. What is your story?
hello im a doctor and what you all say sounds like Tinnitus ( /tɪˈnaɪtəs/ or /ˈtɪnɪtəs/; from the Latin word tinnītus meaning "ringing") is the perception of sound within the human ear in the absence of corresponding external sound. Tinnitus is not a disease, but a condition that can result from a wide range of underlying causes: neurological damage (multiple sclerosis), abnormally loud sounds in the ear canal for even the briefest period (but usually with some duration), ear infections, foreign objects in the ear, nasal allergies that prevent (or induce) fluid drain, or wax build-up. Withdrawal from a benzodiazepine addiction may cause tinnitus as well. In-ear headphones, whose sound enters directly into the ear canal without any opportunity to be deflected or absorbed elsewhere, are a common cause of tinnitus when volume is set beyond moderate levels.Tinnitus may be an accompaniment of sensorineural hearing loss or congenital hearing loss, or it may be observed as a side effect of certain medications. However, the most common cause is noise-induced hearing loss.As tinnitus is usually a subjective phenomenon, it is difficult to measure using objective tests, such as by comparison with noise of known frequency and intensity, as in an audiometric test. The condition is often rated clinically on a simple scale from "slight" to "catastrophic" according to the practical difficulties it imposes, such as interference with sleep, quiet activities, and normal daily activities.Tinnitus is common; about 20% of people between 55 and 65 years old report symptoms on a general health questionnaire, and 11.8% on more detailed tinnitus-specific questionnaires.
