Calcium deposits inside the eyelids

My eye doc told me I have calcium deposits inside my lower eyelids. What causes this? At first I thought I had an eyelash or a piece of trash inside my eyes but after the eye exampnation the doctor told me it was calcium deposits. What causes them and how can I get rid of them? Thank you for an answer.

Thanks! I will create a little bag for rice. I assumed the rice is raw, i.e. not cooked. Correct? Do you add water to the rice? As for the wash, I heard that using Dove works also. Now, we have many solutions ;-)
Go to the emerge ncy eye clinic and they will remove it silk
I did this hot pack's nightly and my doctor put me on antibotics as long as I don't eat dairy of any kind including butter milk all sources every day I've been ok.
I get these things like hard rocks in the outside corners of both eyes. The left eye was definitely bigger and feels like it cut the corner of my eye when I finally managed to get it out of that corner. It still hurts 3 days later. I don't know what it is but sure do want to know how to get rid of it.
I'm currently going through this same thing as well. It's horrible. I have been having problems for about 5 months now. I have had to be on 4 rounds of eye antibiotics and can't wear my contacts. It's the worst because I literally despise my glasses more than anything and can't see out of them. I am constantly ill because the glasses make me dizzy and sick to my stomach if I walk around with them on. My eye doctor won't remove the deposits and continues to give me the runaround. She made me switch to daily lenses so I shelled out $300 dollars for those and a week later...same problem. Very frustrating and sad to waste money like that. I am seeing someone else today about it. If worse comes to worse I will have to find a way to afford LASEK because I can't wear my glasses all the time. This is a surprisingly depressing and debilitating issue and I wish more doctors would readily agree to removing the deposits.
I have been to the opthamolagist 4 times over a 3 month period, he plucks multiple granules of calcium off the eyeball each visit.!! Hurts like hell, but is necessary . No real explanation of cause, except " allergies" I am 72 & diabetic. Doctor insists is NOT related to diabetes.
I went to the eye Dr today and was told I have Calcification bumps under my top eyelid. He said it is from rubbing my eye when I got something in my eye. I have an appointment with a eye surgeon next week to get them removed. In the mean time lots of eye drops.
same thing happens to me...drink a lot of water this seems to help alot
I have had one calcium deposit removed and it was heaven for about a year, then another one started growing. It feels like there is a tree branch in my eye, and sometimes it really stings and burns and my eye waters like crazy. I will have to get this removed again. Don't let a doctor tell you they can't remove it, because they can.
Saw my eye doctor in his office today (ophthalmologist). He saw several very small "crystals" inside my lower lid that had been causing discomfort---constantly feeling as if I had something in my eye. He numbed the eye completely and removed these tiny crystals with NO discomfort to me. Only took about 5 minutes total. Very nice relief! (I'm already using some antibiotic drops for recent cataract surgery.)
My eye doctor has removed so many of these in both my eyes, I quit going. He just numbed the eye, turned the lid inside out, and scraped the stone off. I bit the vullet and started rubbing the eyelid against eye socket bone and have successfully broken them up that way-- until now-- so painful!
Go to a different Dr. An Ophthalmologist. They will scrape them off. You can have this done over and over.
I just went to my eye dr today complaning of eye pain on the inside of my lid over the last few months.. He diagnosed me with a calcium deposit, took a tiny pair of tweezers and removed it in the office! I feel fine now!! I'd try a different doctor if yours isn't willing to remove them..
Had them removed from under my left eye lid today. Doctor told me that aging is primarily the cause. I am over 65 yrs and this made perfect sense for me. I recently had cataract surgery and have had no complications.
I have a calcium deposit in my eyelid, dr. gave me antibiotic drops for my eye
