Hi.

So,went to the ER last night,my CBC was normal, but they couldn't do a ultrasound cause our ER is small so i'd have to go to my DR office to do that...he didn't want to do a CT scan cause it wouldn't really detail anything if it was the gallbladder.

he sent me home with a dilaudid and phenergyn shot..he was afriad that if i took any pills i'd throw it up(i agreed.)..and sent me home after a hour.

He wrote on my discarge papers what i asked for him to do is write a small note for my doctor to give me a Ultrasound on my Gallbladder ASAP.faxed my papers to my dr today so i should get a phonecall tomorrow.

Ill follow up as soon as i find out whats going on.

I am glad you started the process---it does sound like your gallbladder though---the ultrasound and CT scan should help them diagnose you---the phenergan does work for the nausea---

Well my doc called today.
She doesn't want me to have a ultrasound as i had one this year already. she wants me to have a HIDA scan(as i seen mention in this thread.)

BUT,my cousin's friend has Chrons' disease and either its my gallbladder or its that..cause its the only 2 things i can think of whats wrong.

THE hida scan is not a bad test and if it is that, then maybe you won't need the colonoscopy

Hey everyone.
I had the HIDA scan done about a week ago. Results came back negative..no gallbaldder issues..

I had a celiac disease blood test done, negative on that too.

I was watching Dr OZ today, and he said something that made me question everything i've been thinking.

He said anyone who has any kind of surgery in the stomach area(appendectamy,c-cection,etc)Scar tissue builds up and is called a " small bowel obsctruction"..and shocking as it may be,i do realize that my issue DID start(or got worse)NOT too long after i had my emergency appendactamy in March of 2010...after that i had stomach issues..but lasted a full summer to early winter..then i got better..but then january came around and thats when all these symtopms i've mentioned in past posts, have started.

Maegan, I have been suffering from nausea but only since August! I have had enough too! I finally demanded tests! I DO have gall stones and am meeting with a surgeon of Friday. Have you had an ultra sound? I have the hardest time in the AM and when I lay flat for too long. I have headaches but the nausea is what is the hardest to deal with. Get an ultra sound! I hope they just take it out! Apparently, it is common for females to have this issue! I cannot believe the number of friends/family/friends of friends that have had this surgery. You don't need to put up with the CONSTANT nausea! Wish me luch!

I have had nausea for 3 years now,  and it all started WHEN I had my gallbladder removed.

I had a tumor than was inside my stomach that was huge and went all the way around the inside like a donut would look like. They thought I had cancer so I went to MD Anderson in Houston and they removed and told me it was NOT cancer but they have no idea what kind of tumor it was and that was 6 years ago.

I had dumping syndrom for about 2 years then my gallbladder was at like 7% so they removed it and after my body adjusted I started vomiting after just about every meal and still do so to this day almost 3 years later.

I tried this dr and that one all with the same answer we don't no why you are vomitting. I had so many EGD and Colonostipies it would make your heade spin.

Then I tried another DR that looked at all my past medical history and had me have a stomach emptyhing studied.

I eat about one egg (the instant type) with radioactive material added and over 2 hours they took pictures.

At one hour I still had 91% of the egg

At 1 1/2 I had 68%

at 2 hours I had 59%

At 2 hours a normal person would be empty.

Now he is sending me to a DR to see if a gastric pacemaker will help and make my stomach work right again.

My Dr said wit the surgery I had at MD Anderson most likely cause scaring around the vaigal nerve and my muscle and they are not pushing the food through like they should, sqeezing from the top down and that is way food is moving so slow and my body says this food should be gone or is going bad time to throw up.

I have to wait until July 10th on my first appiontment because the proceeder is so new and alot of people are doing it to lose weight by slowing there stomach down which is the oppisite of what I need.

I had the same problem and was diagnosed with gastroparesis too---I was on liquid erythromycin, protonix and zantac for 5 months---have been off two months and have no more nausea or stomach pain---you might try this first----my gastroparesis is ideopathic---

I have been so many different medicine combos over the years it is unreal and non have helped, not saying that there isn't something out there that would work but for the better part of 3 years nothing has even made a dent in my vomitting.

When I go to the DR in July they may suggest something different to try and I hope it works because I would love not to have surgery again!!!

Perhaps erythromycin or Domperidone---both helped me tremendously...
