I've been having the same early morning nausea between 1-3am. I usually feel some relief once in an upright position. I recently did a liver gallbladder flush and felt so much better for one day. Using a heating pad at night night also offers some relief. The answer might be monthly liver gallbladder flushes, but it's still to early to tell.

I have had nausea for 4 years or so but started getting worse, June 2016 went to A and E with severe pain in my stomach , I was violently sick twice . I was sat there 6 hours waiting for 2 blood tests ;only to be told nothing wrong with my heart go home , only test done on heart scan nothing else ] went to Greece 2 weeks later same pain and violently sick twice again and I such a hot country I was shaking all over my body ] it took Greek doctor half hour doing scans and xray on heart etc to find I had stones in my gall bladder, and bad inflammation, I was on drips for 4 days nothing to drink for 2 days my mouth was so dry [also hot country ] nothing to eat for 4 days ; 2 surgeons wanted to operate but because of the hygiene standards I refused , until I got back to the UK ] I have a lot to thank Greece for ] as my own GP and A and E did not find my problem ] took all my Greek notes to my GP only to be told I will have to go through it all again , I had a hip replaced 5 weeks ago which I first cancel due to waiting for my Gall Bladder sorting , am I so pleased I had one problem and pain sorted . but I am in a worse condition now . nausea all the time , the severe pain has left me, but I am left with a discomfort of pain and nausea all the time , the pain is in my right shoulder, and ribs ] I am so annoyed as the surgeon was interviewing me on my condition . all the time I was sat talking with her I had the sick bowl brining up all this brown bile . was she concerned ,no she was not , even put me down the list to December before I have my Gall bladder removed , I have since been back to my doctor for more blood test to see if my bladder is inflamed , only then will they remove it as a emergency , other wise I have to carry on feeling nausea and this so much discomfort , I cannot lay down as I am so sick , so people all I am saying is do not hold your breath if you are feeling like this [ get a good doctor or pay out . I am 74 years of age, but so much for caring for our aged in this country , as much as Greece is 100 years behind times hospitals short bedding clean painted rooms and lots more they need [ there doctors are the tops ] me as a stranger to there country were willing to put me first , and seem to care more ] I thank them so much for there care and treatment ,and yet so short of nurses they did there very best [ I just wish I could afford private treatment as this is getting me so down [ the worst year of my life ever [ just this year I have lost 2 of my sisters nephew and brother in law [what next ]

I am 41, have been suffering from the same thing, it's been four years. I get extremely nauseous first thing in the morning and that is followed by hours of vomiting until all the contents of my stomach are out. This happens for 10 to 16, 17 days or so every couple months. I have been told it was from a uti, then it was a ruptured ovarian cyst. I end up in the hospital becausd I get extremely dehydrated, the hospital has told me it's from smoking pot, which I smoke to relieve the nausea accompanied by my card. The hospital has also told me it is from stress, I am so frustrated, and even though I usually require a round of potassium, they make me feel like I am a bother. I have been to many specialists and had the round of tests and they are all neg. I recently had an mri of my spine, and low and behold something showed up with the common bile duct, I have an mri scheduled, but the hospital physician believes that because my blood tests are normal, it could not possibly be my gaulbladder. I just want it out, I am desperate, and can totally relate. I have taken many leaves from work, I am having a hard time paying my mortgage, and I just want to live a somewhat normal life. I have a great pcp, but after vomiting for days, the only way I can get relief is by going to the hospital to get iv fluids. Phenagran, and adavan work well too. It is only temporary, and I usually get better at night, but when I wake up in the morning, I am unable to keep any fluids down. The hospital has also tried to label this as sicklic vomiting disorder, which is just a name they give when they have no idwa why people are vomiting and getting nauseous. I truly hope they find out what is wrong with you, it has been 4 long years for me, but I feel like I might be getting close to a real diagnosis. I have tried a holistic approach, drinking teas, yoga, and breathing exercises, it helps calm the body, which gives a little relief. I also was told by an ambulance driver to smell an alcohol wipe to relieve nausea, and believe it or not, it really does help.

Hi! I am so sorry to hear about your symptoms, being so young and all.
You wrote this over a year ago. What has transpired since then and how are you now?
Would love to hear.
P.S. I am a senior w/same symptoms, but have not yet started the journey of tests
i.e., gallbladder. It seems that for young folks, going to a functional medicine M.D.
to try and heal the gallbladder rather than taking it out would be the first way to go.
Did you have gallbladder surgery?

That chronic nausea, diarrhea & weakness was related to my 7% gall bladder ejection fraction. HIDA scan showed that. Had a Lao Choly, & now take daily Lomotil & 2 Pepto Bismol tabs. It took 2 years for me to get back to normal. Cut down on lactose, fatty foods, & emotional stress or the diarrhea will pop back up again. Post-op: NO NAUSEA!! Yippee

Did the surgery help? I never got diagnosed with a polyps but I was told my functioning levels was low 39% but they weren't convinced enough to send me for gallbladder surgery. I've lost 16 lbs in a month, I've followed the low fat, no gluten etc etc diets and still wake up promtly at 6 every morning with nausea and the urge to defecate. First of the year this all started on my periods and would end with the period and then it stopped for months. Came back with the period before last and never let go. Symptoms used to be much worse now it's just the pain behind the ribs and trapped gas pains and nausea. The stools depends souly I think on if my gallbladder emptied enough or not. Quality of life has defiantly changed. I chase two toddlers around and we are preparing for a move so it's been hard to say the least

I'm also trying the diet and supplements to try to just heal this problem. Fermented foods, Apple cider vinegar, dandelion root, herbal liver supplements, and a digestive enzyme with ox bile in it when I eat, high fiber, low fat,, gluten free. I also upped my magnesium and fish oil. Petrified of surgery especially after my doctor said he wasn't convinced it would help me. Being I've lost so much weight and my diet is so strict I'm having a hell of a time holding on to my weight only being 135lbs when this started and now 119lbs a month and 13 days later. I try to find high calorie healthy things to eat but I have to balance it with the not eating to much and my 5 small meals a day. I havr to say they never found stones or sludge in my gallbladder so they aren't sure why it's sluggish and why such a small percentage is upsetting my body so easily.

I, too, had gallbladder attacks when I took birth control pills years ago. Fortunately, I had a hysterectomy at 29 years old but now for the last few years am dealing with the same issues. I don't see any benefit in having it removed only to have the nausea and probability of diarrhea after the surgery.

I'm a 17 year old female and I had my gall bladder out after having two attacks in a row. When the opened my up they found webbing (scar tissue) everywhere and when I went to Ecuador this summer, I got really sick and threw up for 4 days straight. After that I was fine until a couple months ago when I started having heart and breathing problems. I used a heart monitor and they found nothing. We discovered that I was really vitamin deficient and my body isn't absorbing any nutrients from my food. All food goes straight through me. I have elevated amounts of liver enzymes and pain all down the right side of my body. I've gotten bloodwork done, X-rays, and even ultrasounds. I'm always nauseas, light headed, in pain, and sleeping. Any ideas
