Can hemorrhoids cause impotence or any penile dysfunction?

PLEASE AND PLEASE, is imperative for people to note, I mean you reading this, that Haemorrhoids can cause erectile dysfunction, my case was similar to this reply from Drfeelgood exactly. Now am having haemorrhoids again with same erectile dysfunction with other similar unexplainable discomfort.
Haemorrhoids can cause a lot of explainable discomfort if you feel you have it, just get it operated first b4 anything else, Dont listen to anyone

Thank You For The Testimony....... That explains why some times my erections aren't so erect and other times rock hard..... I guess it depends on how flared up they are..... There is a nerve that is right by the anus and running through the pelvic area..... Called famural nerve it would also cause numbness in the leg as well if in flamed enough
... Doctors have been shrugging their shoulds for a while for my problems..... I have been studying ans iI read this and now I feel like "house". Lol.

I guess I will push for surgery!

Hi i hope you see this i have hemorrhoids and i am only 22 years old and i cant get it hard and some times i cum before it gets hard is it because of the hemorrhoids and i need to remove them to get hard ?

Actually this is true, because it happened to me. And I got several different opinions! So yes sever hemorrhoids can interfere with our erections!

Glad to read this forum.I read each and every post.

So my husband has Erectile dysfunction and hemorrhoids and doctor told for hemorrhoidectomy​.Also he has premature Ejacuation ,Low Testosterone and Constipation as well.

My question is -

Question1 -Mostly people who got hemorrhoidectomy were sufferers of Constipation as well I guess.So did you guys make sure you go for poop everyday by fiber ,probiotics,laxatives etc  to avoid a NEW  hemorrhoid as a result of  harder stool or staining .Did anyone got a new hemorrhoid again because of constipation.?

Question 2-Did anyone have had "low levels of Testosterone" as well.So after long hours of research I came to know that people with slow Transit constipation tend to keep toxic food in their intestine for long hours leading to estrogen reuptake which reduces Testosterone which eventually effects Erection function as well .Also the lack of good bacteria in the gut ,causes lack of serotonin which is important for holding the erection for a long time and leads to poor ejaculation and that too very fast. Did anyone of you had low levels of Testosterone and Serotonin as well along with Constipation.

I am scheduled to have banding done on mine as well were your positive results permanent?

Does having hemorrhoids affect your erections?

I for the past four years have been having ED issues. I got a colonoscopy done and the doctor said I had internsl hemorroids. These hemorroids have gotten worse and around 3 years ago my perinuem swelled and was very painful. Within three days of the perimuem swelling, I develooed a fistula and woke up with blood in my underwear, a lot of blood. The doctors in the hospital said it was a hematoma. They bought a urologist in, a proctologost, did an MRI, ultra sound, and found nothing. So they recommended I see a urologist who eventual said he "believed" it was a cyst. He operated and I had a two inch slit in my perineum that was glued. The thrombisis comes back atleast once or twice a month and everytime I get a fistula which releases the blood and man this is a relief because that thrombosis is painful. I developed an external hemorroid right outside my anus and it hurts, and uncomfortable. Reading this thread reenforced the notion that my hemorroids is causing my ED. I mean I get NOTHING. Occasional I get an erection at night but its weak and flacid. My penis has definutely shrunk from 7 inches to about 5 1/2 maybe 5".. Its ridiculous.
I cannot sustain an erection. This thread was sn eye opener.

I had mine banded, 3 of them 1 every 2 weeks. I noticed a huge improvement in erection quality and then about 3 weeks after I started getting hemorrhoids again. Went in for surgery and got all the internals and 2 externals removed. The pain for banding was like a 0-1, pain for the surgery ranged from a 2-6 with poos spiking it up. Two weeks post op and the pain is gone, less pain than a minor hemorrhoid but my muscles are ass muscles are still weak. I am so hoping the erection quality will return soon. I only have minor, still can almost always start sex but I would get bleeding and pain from my hemorrhoids, like squirting bleeds during sex.... kinda kills the mood

I got banding done as well and I'm having numbness and seems like it's harder to get an erection and my pee always trickles out at the end and hard to push out now and it's really messing with my head and I didn't have this problem before the banding and my girl thinks it's just Ed kicking in but I'm only 42 and I know it's not Ed because I was just fine before the banding so now I'm really stressed and depressed as it's not working the same after getting the banding done also when I cum it doesn't feel as good anymore, Im just wondering how long it's really going to take to recover as I just got this done two months ago and one guy on here is saying 4 years later he's still having problems only after banding so when will the full sensation come back because it's just not there anymore for me after banding honestly feel like banding will destroy a male's life and definitely get ED problems as I do now after banding, can someone please tell me why this is going on because now I always wonder if I'm even going to get hard or not when being with a woman and that's a real depressing feeling as I hope this doesn't go on much longer and make a full recovery or if ever.

The doctor lied because he said banding would not give me Ed and he said it doesn't have nothing to do with erections but he lied because when I can get up and have an erection which I struggle now after banding my sensation is numb feeling and definitely is not the same feelings anymore and I definitely do not want to ever take viagras as those are bad for you and shouldn't have to take them after banding OMG what now??????
