Answers are ALLL the same TEXT BOOK ANSWER doctors obgynz so many still just follow text book teachings it CLEARLY states there is NOT enough research in the area?!!!! Mytrust is with the people of REAL LIFE experience...
In my research I've also come across that many woman pregnant get diagnosed this "STD" I think ghere is more underlyingtruths here... RESEARCH NEEDS TO BE DONE INSTEAD OF KNOW IT ALL PEOPLE REPEATING THEMSELVES AND ONLY HAVONG TO SAY ITS SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED..... That's the only I formation they can give.... So many wrong diagnosis in the world this world so corrupt and full of billshit weakening mans immune systems and terrorising families from these falsy diagnosed diseases. We could walk in to a clinic lie about symptoms and get given the drug we choose for bleep sake.... Sometimes I feel I know more about some diseases then some ofghese inadequate doctors these days ... SERIOUSLY
4.LET ME JUST SAY YOU DONT NEED TO BE QUALIFIED OR JAVE AN EFFIN CERTIFICATE TO KNOW TRUE FACTS... ITS ALL IN RESEARCH EVWRYTHING WE DO IN LIFE IS RESEARCH... IM A MUM I DONT HOLD AN EFFIN CERTIFICATE OR A QUALIFICATIONS FOR IT BUT I KNOW MORE ABOUT BEING A MUM THEN THOSE THAT AINT ONE... EXPERIENCE IS RESEARCH MY LOVES...

What if there was no genital penetration?

Don't think that info is correct. However chlamydia can remain dormant in males for years.

So you can get chlamydia witout having sex wit other people? My gf jus told me today she has it and non of us messed around and her doctor told her she could get it from wiping dirty clothes on her vagina, not cleaning it right, and possibly shaving her pubic hair. She does shave to the skin so that's our assumption because all that. We do have sex and sometimes we don't shower till hours later and I have seen her wipe my tank top between her legs after sex. She could get chlamydia this way also?

Hi everyone! I would like to state that I am a virgin, and have never had sex or skin to skin genital contact with any person. However, my immune system has not been the best due to stress. In college, I had several vaginal infections. At the doctor, they took a vaginal swab, and found that the organism inhabiting my vagina was chlamydia.

I want to put your fears to rest, that as a nursing major who has studied microbiology I know that bacteria can climb into crevices and places where they were not invited, included vaginal tissue.

Bacteria are everywhere, especially public (think dorm) showers and bathrooms. With hot weather, I learned that I do better with loose clothing (many bacteria thrive in warm and moist environments), and frequent undergarment changes.

Secondly I had to avoid sugar and carbohydrates and use only mild soaps. These are some of the things that worked for me. I took an antibiotic and it helped.

I hope these thoughts will help you! And hopefully you will be able to trust your partners again- it's sad that something like this that is NOT always sexually transmitted could hurt a relationship like that. I hope you can all put your fears to rest and trust your partner again.

Blessings,
Victoria

Ok Doc, I'm a doc too. If oral sex can transmit it the mouth must be involved, SALIVA Yes? So can't saliva transmit it? How about a Kiss? or if someone sneezed in their hand and touched something I touched?

1st of all you CAN NOT GET IT FROM A TOILET SEAT THAT IS FALSE. You really shouldn't put information out there if you have no idea what you are talking about ...

2. To get CLYMEDIA someone else has to have it already for you to get it. ...it's an STD it is not a build up of bacteria and then turns into CLYMEDIA . geez people actually look up the information from a reputable site

I have gotten chlamydia without sexual contact. Swimming pool is the place where I got it. It start with inflammation of the conjunctiva of the eye and in sinuses and now is falling down toward lungs. And for SURE I have not sexual contact. What can you say on it?
