Ihave been pregnant before (in 1987 and 1989). I am ready to have a baby now (at 48) One (female) doctor has told me that I am TOO OLD. Horrible bedside manner. My blood test revealed that I have increased FSH and decreased estrogen. Does ths JUST mean that I need a shot(s) of estrogen. I sincerely want to have a baby.

Very good response I was thinking the same but well done for saying it!
There is Nothing wrong having a baby later in life! A Gods gift to even to give to one, Bible even says be Fruitful and Multiply! I am a Father of 3 and we talking on having a child at my wife being 48, and I Love my children spite my age or hers, Its a blessing to even have one, and feel for those who struggle.
I still get my period at the age 48 can I still have babys
Who cares how old you are when wanting to have a child. There are plenty of shit persnts out there that shouldn't be able to be pedants. to provide love to a child for how ever long you are on the planet for that is what's important not just ticking a box to have a kid
None of your business
Hi .ur comments has come to me at a right time when at my age of 47, has given up all hopes of being pregnant.when you undergo ivf , is it your own egg or you ask for egg donor?
Yes you can, I had a healthy 7lb 6 oz baby girl at the age of 47, July 2016 all natural, no complications. Folic acid, prenatal pills prior to becoming prego. Most important find a supportive Dr.
I will be 49 on 31 August this year. I gave birth to healthy twin girls on 17 March conceived naturally
She asked about her chances not of what your opinion was, which clearly no one gives anything about.
Instead of questioning someone else's decision, maybe you should go back to school and learn basic math.48 +12 = 60, not 50.
Oh probably because you can pass on LIFE to humans.
Of course you can still have children if u have a regular period. No matter what age. Im sure u will be a better parent now than u would have 20 yrs ago. I know I am! I am more patient, financially stable, able to take off work anytime i want, wiser, and I am in better shape now than I was in my 20s. Age is just a number. Yet The risk of Downs is higher when u conceive later in life. Chances of a devestating miscarriage is higher as well. You will be high risk. So make sure ur ob is suited for high risk pregnancies. Talk to your doctors. Keep in mind there are so many precious children already here that need a family. It is possible to love an adopted child as much as your own. Just throwing that in there. Also, u will be asked if u are the grandmother alot more than u think. I was in my early 30s and was asked this at an ER. I later asked them how old do they think i was. They guessed about right. So i had to ask "why grandmother"? Do i look old?? 2-3 employees told me its because most that were my age and brought younger children were actually the grandparents. Many raising grandchildren along with their own children due to so many young adults having babies in their teens and early 20s. They didnt mean it in a bad way. Its just young parents are usually stuck at work and grandparents babysat, or many times, the grandparents did have custody. So just be prepared. Questions will be asked and most likely not for the reason u might think. Only you Know whats best for you and your family. If its meant to be, it will happen. Good luck!
CORRECTION--U CAN GET PREGNANT IF HAVING REGULAR PERIODS AND REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED. I SEE THERE ARE SOME SMARTA** RESPONSES ON HERE. SO I JUST WANTED TO CORRECT MYSELF FIRST.
IVF is In Vitro Fertilization
Do you seriously think that any woman considering this hasn't done the math?!?! Trust me she knows.. and she doesn't have to tell YOU why!!
