So I decided to stop using it and wishing a few hours my lips were back to normal.

Burts Bees Peppermint causes me issues. Red skin, inflammation, drying. Only the peppermint version causes this, I've never had a reaction with the regular version of Burts Bees or any other chapstick.
Like many of you, I developed an allergic reaction to Burt's Bees Vitamin E + peppermint lip balm. Last night, I noticed that my lips got severely chapped even after constantly applying this lip balm for several days, and while I was checking my lips in the mirror, I noticed small bumps all around my lips! I immediately threw it out. The funny thing is, I wasn't even googling "allergic reaction to Burt's Bees" - I simply googled "chapstick allergy peppermint" and I immediately found this forum with many people having the same issue with the exact same product.
I seem to have had the same problem and it is not specific to only burts and bees. In my case it seems to be most chapsticks and even majority of lip balms. With the rest, the lips are moisturised but only for a short time and then they are even dryer than before. I have found one lip balm that seems to work for me though: Nuxe - Reve de miel lip balm. Strangely the same lip balm in lipstick form doesn't work for me, only the lip balm.
Every time i use Burts Bees my throat feels weird! Like its closing! I dont Know what it is but i know It’s the chapstick cause it happens EVERYTIME i use Burts Bees tinted chapstick in Rose.
