I am 24 and had my tubes tied when I was 21. Before I had my tubes tied I was happy, outgoing, and no PMS!!! Since the procedure I have pelvic pain, horrible pms and I always feel like I have a UTI. My husband is gorgeous and I never want to have sex and I am depressed most of the month. So i can't speak for anyone else but None of this went on before I had my tubal. Just really think of diff methods before making your last choice!!
i had my tubes tied 3 yrs back. my periods is late by 18days. sever pelvic pain and PMS but no sign of period. am i pregnant.
Having my tubes tied was the best decision my husband and I ever made. I was pregnant with our 3rd child, my husband was 42 and I was 33. We decided that if we want to enjoy our "golden years" together, it was time to stop. So I had the procedure after my C-section. Before the procedure, my periods were heavy, painful, and irregular. My hormones were all out of whack and sex was something of an obligation rather than a pleasure. But now, my periods are lighter, regular, and my sex drive has exploded. I am calmer and have a sense of serenity. Must have affected my hormone levels, but I have had quite an opposite experience from most women I talked to.
Hello i got my tubes tied when i was 21 had 2 children already i am now 37... Never before did i have any problems with my period but since i got my tubes tied i have had back pelvic pain, Back pain as in you are in LABOR pain.. At the time i didnt want anymore children but as time progressed i did and still want another child if i knew what i know now i would of never had it done.......
I want to know how the severe abdominal pain and heavy bleeding can be controlled after a tubal ligation its been only two years and I suffer from severe pain during my menstral. Also i would never recommend it because like others my relationship ended and now i am with someone who loves my children but when i look in his eyes i know he wants his own child and a part of me does also........
jmooney2,
what you are experiencing after a tubal ligation with the abdominal pain and heavy bleeding is very common. Although many do not acknowledge the fact that Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome exists there are many women suffering the way you are. Many times your physician will prescribe birth control pills but for many it doesn't work. Most women who just do not want to live with the side effects of tubal ligation get a tubal reversal. Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center is collecting data on their patients that have had the procedure just for the relief of PTLS. There are some amazing stories on the site describing what many of the ladies have gone through and the changes they experienced after tubal ligation reversal.
I hope this helps.

i regret having mine done at times there is times i wish i wouldnt have had it done but once you do what can you do
and having a reversol doesnt garentee that you can get pregnant again if anything more complications
i was told by my doctor that they could come undone after 5 years and here it will be 7 years in july still no pregnancy
i just wonder if thats true or not ?

i am 25 and married with two boys .i am planning to have a tubal one day next month. i have been doing alot of research, and thid is the best option for me.if i could give any advice it would be to do your research. i found out things that my doctors or people that i know either didnt tell me or they hadnt experienced.i have been on and off birth control for almost nine years and i dont like the side effects of the pill. i have been on 6 different types of pills and i am ready to just cleanse my body. i dont think i will regret it i am making a very informed desicion which is what i think is really the key
I JUST RECENTLY GOT MINE TIED I SUFFERED NOOO BLEEDING THE ONLY THING IS I AM EXTREMELY TIRED AND SLEEPY OTHER THAN THAT NOW I CAN HAVE SEX AND NOT WORRY IF I'M PREGNANT OR NOT BECAUSE AT 35 WHO WOULD WANT TO GO THROUGH ALL THE DAMAGE I'VE BEEN THROUGH WITH LOSES AND OTHER CHOICES IT'S JUST TOO MUCH

I had my tubes tied at 21 after having 1 daughter at 19 and twin girls at 21, I lost most of my baby weight quickly but soon after getting my tubes tied i went from 130 to 172 pounds and i am having the hardest time getting rid of it.
yes but what you are twenty i said the same thing dont get it done unless you really want it. think about the long run.i had three kids at 21. no money a husband that cheated and beat me. so what poor me i honestly thought getting my tubes tied was the best thing for me and it was. but they dont tell you all that comes along with getting your tubes tide and watch if you choose to do this, and you get the side effects they will tell you like they tell everyone its not from getting your tubes tied. every month i wait for my period to come and cant wait for it to pass. i get cramps and back pains that hurt like labor pains.not just begining of labor full out labor. every month it never fails i am on the bathroom floor in tears eating midol and advil untill the bottle is empty because it doesnt take the pain away. i am fatigue for a week before the week of and a week after my period. mood swing to the point where my significant other cant even be around me. discomfort during intercousre.i dont regret my tubes tide because i want another baby. i regret it because of all the pain it causes, and the worst part is no one can give me a reason on why its like that but before i got my tubes tide my period came at the same time every month, i got minor cramps that one midol would take care of, no mood swings. it was normal. the only answer is my tubes..i get one to one in a half weeks of normal days and the rest i am just cooping and dealing and wishing i could have my normal body back. i did not gain weight like most girls in stead i cant gain it. i know girls would kill to be skinny but there is a too skinny.and people judge for that also. my point is all the details are not always givin to you.
I know exactly what you are talking about. After my tubal ligation about 2 years ago ever since I have severe mood swings horrible cramping and headaches to the point where it its difficult to even hold a job. I too have complained to my doctor who makes me feel like its just all in my head. Anyways I want you to know that you are not alone. I have read on several disscussion boards of people just like us. I have also read where people had it reversed and the symptoms went away and they felt normal again. Hope this helps a little to know that you are not crazy or alone.
I fell the same as you the only difference is that I used to have migrines any way, but it;s was in control for almost a 1 1/2 year. The cramps before my period is too much. Like I said before, I should reached for more information before, but I did't. I have four children already and thinking was the best thing to do to prevent another pregnancy... My husband have a weird reaction to condom even the sensitive and non-latex, I'm alergy to too many things that I couldn't do other thing, because pills, ring, and patch thick my blood too easly. But whats really boder me is the continues infection every month, I can't stand that and more when doctor said that is normal in women and has nothing to do with the surgery.
i got my tubes tied may of 2008 and i have had no problems no mood swings or anything i just recently got in a new relationship and we had been seeing each other for a while. I have not had my period the whole month of august since we have been having sex. please tell me im not pregnant i couldnt dare to tell my mother that again. what do you guys think is this normal im new to all this.
