Did anyone fig this out?
I had this too, just got diagnosed with asthma... Bummer...
I also find it to be worse at night with the phlegm and coughing. But I too have asthma.
I have been having the same thing for about 2 years now been doing some research and found a bunch of possible answers. Basically we all need to see the doctor because all possible answers I found are serious starting with the worst is lung cancer, pneumonia or the really crazy but scary one is hookworms.. did reasearch on these little boogers and they actually lay their eggs in your lungs and you cough up the larvae. . But hookworms is only if this has been a recent thing if you have had this for years you can out rule the hookworms because they would be coming out of your bottom by now
I have exactly the same problem
If it was lung cancer would you not also be coughing up blood as well?
I have the same problem. I found this. It seems accurate and gives a little more information on detecting exactly what it is by the difference in the description of our "phlegm".

I'm sorry, I didn't link it. Go to the encyclopedia and search "mucus"
Lookup what in the world are they spraying? On YouTube . This I believe is the cause. Your throat has filtering devices like tonsils- and I believe because of the high particulates raining down on us it is causing this- I too have started getting these with no other explanation.
Cystic fibrosis....I've been researching as well due to my symptoms. My hands also get pruny in water.
I know this is a long shot but by any chance does anyone live around ny or have visted the WTC recently after 911?? I beleive this is some type of chemical or something from the building collapses everyone in the area visiting or living was exposed to...this is why all the first responders have had major athsma related issues...
I have wheezing and tight breathing as well as these mucus jelly balls...what seems to help is hot steaming showers and clearing it out, raw honey and propolis. .....but number one reliever is definitely symbicort but most insurance do not cover and it's $400
I was told they are nasal drip - I have allergies that I didn't know about and a slow drip over night at the back of my throat leads to kinda solidified clumps in teh morning. It's worse when my room is dusty, I have a cat or a cold. I found that vacuuming every week and wiping down surfaces helps, also got a pillow cover inside the pillow case and wash those in 60˚C water each week. Hope this helps some people! Luckily I got a good doctor after having this off and on for years, my partner thought I must be dying because my lungs are clogging up but not the case at all!
It's probably acute bronchitis or chronic bronchitis for those of you that his has been happening for you years for. Does no one go to see the doctor??? What's wrong with you people take care of yourselves! They can listen to your lungs and tell you exactly what it is
No its my nine year old daughter
