WRONG. You need to open your pores, not close them up. No issues right now. Sweating freely. Broke through late this year, late May. Will keep the free sweating going as long as I can, maybe past November.

Hi guys - I am encouraged by the coconut oil and exercising. I will try it. Last year I put bowls of water on my radiators and started using a humidifier. This was a big help. I am talking to the wife about moving to a permanently warm climate. i am convinced this has to do with the winter heat drying out my skin.

This was me, I'm pretty sure I am the OP, but can't recall as it's been a very long time.
I stopped experiencing this issue in 2009. The solution? Prepping for winter. Yes, very simple. At the end of summer, I started applying lotion to my body, head to toe, twice a Day, and started wearing warm clothes, even though it was not that cold yet. I have done this every year since then and I have not experienced the itch. I know it sounds very simple, it's because it is. I was not wearing proper clothes in the winter time before. I never really wore jackets because I did not feel the cold, even when it was 20 degrees outside, I felt fine. Although mentally I may have felt fine, but my body was not fine and that was my body's way of telling me. So it's that time of the year now and I've starting applying lotion and staying warm as much as I can. I always carry an jacket with me now just in case.

Here is how I think it works. Weather changes and your body needs time to adjust. You need to help your body acclamate to the change by wearing appropriate clothing based on the weather and by using lotion and such. Now when I feel the itch coming, instead of trying to cool down, I try to keep warm, and it instantly feels better. When you try to cool down youre actually feeding the condition hence making it worse.

So, use lots of lotion, and wear warm clothes. Don't wait for winter, start in fall -trust me. I know you may think you don't need lotion and it's not your kind or the cold, trust me, it is. And trying won't hurt.

If you need help just email me or something.
Good luck!

Hello itching fighters! I am proud of every one is dealing with this difficult pain. I know, its us who have to hide this pain with a smile when we are with friends or in public.
Take no further action and relax. This condition is about UNDERSTANDING AND STAMINA.
**THIS IS ONLY IN WINTER**
Things I stopped:
Using clothes softner.
Spraying colognes directly on my skin.
Scrubbing with hard body loofah.

Things I did:
exercising more (stamina plays a big role in blood circulation and pores motion). I used to itch while I run when my body heat up after 10 mins from starting (snow runner).
Going to sauna.
Showering in middle temp water in winter obviously.

Then simply, it faded away.

Got the same problem but it's also difficult to wear warm clothes in winter like jackets or even some time when my body get heat up with itching even a single shirt is hard to wear everyone thinks I'm little crazy or trying to act cool but i don't know how to make them understand. I can only control it by shower with cold water in winter. Anyone know any name for medicine that can permanently cure this problem.

We have sweat glands in our body beneath our skin. In winters, we dont usually drink much of water. So our body is a little lower in fluids than normal.
What happens is when your body warms up after some exercise, sweat glands get activated. But since you dont have much fluids in your body, then sweat glands start overreacting thus causing the itching.
The only and the most genuine solution to this problem is drinking alot of water during winters. I am 100% positive that you will see the improvement within 3 to 5 days.
Hope I helped.

I think it has to do with the body's acidic / alkaline ratio being imbalanced (too acidic). Try adding small pictures of baking soda to a little bit of water to drink each day to bring your body closer to a more alkaline level that it should be. This is also a good remedy for acid reflux and other problems, even including cancer treatment!
