Every Winter, My skin becomes sore, itchy, weeps and large red dry sore patches on my face and body, water seems to irritate it and definately makes it worse. I can only put it down to lack of sunlight, the only way I have ever managed to relieve it after putting up with it for 40 odd years is to use a sun bed once a week, although * NOT to be reccomended * this is the only thing that works for me and now keeps the symptoms away. and a daily dose of Vitamin D
I have same exact pins and needles symptoms whenever i get hot excited or close to sweat. What made it go away was my diet I stopped drinking coffee I stopped eating anything processed or with ingredients, I only eat fruit vegtables and nuts . I also quit using deoderant toothpaste soap laundry detergent and shampoo . You may think I smell but becuase im on a fruit only diet I don't smell one bit, all those products aren't needed I also stay away from lotion an use real cocunut oil whenever i feel dry I also drink plenty of faucet water now and stay away from bottled water and deff stay away from medications such as allergy meds an such. The whole key here is to stay away from things that are man made dont put it in or on your body. It took me two days of doing this to get amazing results. Do all these in combination and I promise the pins and needles will vanish soon , but you have to do everything to full doing one and not the other won't help get sunlight too!!!
It is due to Dry Skin, Avoid HOT SHOWERS in winters, they ruin ur skin and u get pins and needles. Moisturise ur body. While your skin is made of three layers including the subcutis and the dermis, hot showers affect the outermost layer, the epidermis. The epidermis is mostly composed of skin cells loaded with keratin, the same substance that makes up your hair and nails. These cells, called keratinocytes, not only provide a tough defense against the environment but also help your skin to retain moisture. To help keratinocytes retain the skin's moisture, your body produces a thin layer of oil. Together, the outermost layer of skin cells and oil comprise the stratum corneum, and it's this layer that takes a beating during a hot shower.
Hi, your theory is not that good!! I think i can speak for all of us, when i say that we never take hot showers, hot showers also makes us feel the itch! so we never take those!!
for relief use "Cetrizine Tablets" I use them but the relief is temporary.
I was too suffering from this problem. Solution is only one, use cold water for bathing, hot water will aggravate the problem. After bath apply coconut oil, use mild soaps (specially lifebouy) on alternative day. if problem is severe apply alloevera lotion over the body.
same prob ..i think dryness
Hi All,
I've also been suffering this since I was about 14 ... Im not 29 ...docs cant do anything, I feel helpless as every time im in a warm place work, bar, restaurant or anything during the winter I get an 'attack' ... EVERYWHERE! even f its just walking from the shops bar home - a couple of mins walk - i get an itch attack the moment i enter a hot area.
A lot of people say its due to dryness but i thought moisturising would lead to blocking pores ...
Ive tried antihistamines, lotions changing diet, aloe vera .... but nothing .... i am well and truly fed up! :(
someone out there must have an answer?!?! ...
help!!!
Recently I read in an aruyvedic book about its cure.
All you have to do is mix equal quantites of Ajwain (also known as carom, ajowan, or bishop's weed) and jaggery and name balls of 5 gms each.Have this twice daily with water for atleast one week. Then see the magic happen. Its peak winter here is India and I have not for once got the attack.
And yes after you all get well(which I am sure) don't forget to sing praises of ayurveda
I suffer frm the same thing. It also happens when i get nervous. A couple of things no hot long showers. When I am about to do an activity I go into a sonna. You have to suck it up for a little bit( I know how hard this is). It "wears off" in my case in 5-10 minutes. It shouldnt take longer than 15 minutes though. Hope this helps
You f*****g id**t. Nobody skin is dry. Everybody has been to a doctor with the result of not knowing what it is. You dont think that a medical professional would have been able to diagnose dry skin. Honestly this answer you provided is garbage. Im dirty thats y i suffer from this. f**k you
