I get so itchy in the winter that I feel as though I would like to scratch my skin off. It is mostly on my back, arms and legs. I finally found a cram that seems to help a lot. I can feel it soothing the itch from the minute i apply it. And unlike most creams or lotions, the itch does not come back a few minutes later after I apply it. The cream contains a natural ingredient called borage. I just found it in the dry skin section at the health store but they also sell it on Amazon.
Hope this gives others the relief I experienced.
stop excess masturbation in winters
My husband has had this issue for years. He said it feels like the core of his body is heating up. It happened more in the winter because of walking from the cold outside to heat inside. A sudden temp change would set it off. He would feel hot inside and then break out in a rash all over. He finally went to the doctor and the doc said it is actually pretty common. I wish I could remember what it was called. BUT there is a solution. Cetirizine Hydrochloride Antihistamine Allergy pills (even though he doesn't have allergies). It HAS to be cetirizine hydrochloride. Look closely at the bottle because there are lots of different kinds of allergy pills. We get the cheap Equate ones from walmart. 14 tablets for $5. Take one a day for forever. He's been taking them for roughly 3 years now. And it's never happened again! Hope that helps. It's worth $5 to see if it helps you. And if you have the same thing as he does, it will help! Good luck :)

I have had this same problem my whole life so I can sympathize with everyone. Like everyone else has stated, the only solution I know to get past it is to just keep exercising and it goes away once you break into a full sweat. I've been paying very close attention to this condition during this winter and started to narrow down what triggers it, because somedays it is way worse. I have become very healthy over the past 2 years, exercising 5 days a week, rarely eating any processed foods, and eating mainly fruits and veggies. Also, I can say fairly confidently that magnesium does not help it. I started taking magnesium supplements daily 2 years ago and I still get this problem in the winter. But magnesium supplements are very good for a number of other reasons and worth using for overall health. So I have become more sensitive to the triggers and I think I have narrowed it do 3 possible causes. For me I am pretty sure it is triggered by either dairy, caffeine, and less likely - dehydration. I am currently refraining from eating caffeine or dairy for a few weeks, then going to start drinking caffeine again to see if it comes back. Otherwise I will know it is dairy. I don't think it's due to dehydration because I normally drink close to a gallon of water a day and still have this problem. I'll continue my experiment and report back.
Hi Vishal,
I am not sure if it will work, but still i'll definitely give it a shot (as i have done other weird stuffs).
Can you please tell me the procedure (if we have to make a paste or mix it as it is) ?
Sir/Madam,
Clearly, you absolutely have no idea what are we dealing with. If it was that simple, this thread wouldn't have gone so long for 5 years.
Hey, Im 20 and have been suffering from this for about two years or so, Ive been to a dermatoligist and got an allergy test. I was prescribed Loratadine which didnt really work for me. I get the same symptons as everyone else but its worse at night after my shower, hot or cold it doesnt matter I itch, while in the shower and right once i get out. The doctor told me that this was something that some people get and that i had to take a pill (loratadine) an hour before I sweat or I go into hot environments, She also said to go in a air conditioned room or take a cold shower if i was to have an episode, and that this was something that I had to live with. So far I havent found anything that lessens the intensity of the (pins and needles) and this is really hurting my social life.
Something i got to know is unbelievable. will share experience in detail with the the solution
I am experience this problem since 9 yrs and tried all expert dermatologist and other doctors. Also, i have some friends who are very good doctors but they also failed to rpovide me permanent cure.
If you dont want to read furthe rand want to solution , here it is.. salt is levocetrizine dihydrochloride. Available by the name of VOZET, LEVOGEL. once you start taking them you will get releif in 3 days (twice a day) . and this is 200 percent sure.
Sometimes, it is in severe conditions, in that case u have to take methyl prednisolone salt which is a steriod . if you use this steroid along with levocetrizine dihydrochloride then it is not possible that u will face itching. Now lets talk talk about their side effects.
If you take these medicines reguralry you will become fatty that means your face and body will be like a overweight person.
This sideefect is generally with every antiallergic medcine.
Now lets talk about the root cause-
Someone said it is due to excess masterbation --- it is totally illogical since I am facing this problem from last 9 yrs and I started masterbation just 4-5 yrs back.
Dry skin-- yes it is due to dry skin but the solution is not by using any body lotion, soap or anything which prevents ur skinn to get dry. Reason is we have dry skin in summers also but we never face this problem in summers.
Someone in the thread said he took magnesium but didnt get relief. I am totally agree with the gentlemen. Magnesium is not a solution not even any cream or paste.
Now , what i understood from my experience, I am going to share it. However , it could be a vague justification but it is something which I accepted.
As this problem is with almost 90% of people however, it doesnt get up to that level which we guys are facing or someone has to take medicne. let me give a very simple example. you may ask this thing with any normal person.
Suppose if someone is eating somthing very hot then that person might face itchinig over his head and at max up to his neck. but that remain for 1-2 minute and everything gets normal afterthen.
This is totally is naturn disease with which u have taken birth on earth.
From few months , I was searching for a girl for marriage and for that purpose I was matching my kundli(Astrological details as per your birth time and date) over a online portal. and then I got something vague wriiten their for me.
As per the astrological details, this problem was metioned there for me clearly that in winters I have to avoid direct sun or heat in winters and lot many things which were indiacting of this disease. I got shocked but I have the 9 years practical proof so I cant deny that. Might be you guys will say that i m supersitious but this is something which i get to know through a random kundali portal.
According to doctors, this problem is like a fever , cold or cough for which u take medicne and it goes off . but it comes again and then again you have to take medicine for it.
I have one other solution, which is a bit tough but very effective and 100% guaranteed as I have tested it on my own.
Start some workout before winters and start of this itching and continue it whole winter season. workout could be running, cardio etc. not need to build muscles and all.
I got oevrweight due to sideffects of these medicines, i started workout but in result i lose weight and got my body back in shape also I didnt felt any itching problem for whole winters. but now when i stopped doing workout . next year I mean this year I am facing this problem again and cant do workout too as I experience itching even if i run for 2 min only which demoralizes me .
I hope it will help you guys in taking a call what you have to do and what to not.. :)
Some benifits of itching.
you can spend winters without warm clothes such as jackets pullovers, if you go to cold place and you do any work out there for few mins u will feel body overheated and face itching and then you do not require any cloth on your body even if the temprature is below zero. :)
ok, so for the past couple of weeks after having a shower and before the towel touches my skin,
i have been trying to lock in the moisture by applying Johnson's baby oil onto the wet skin ...
some how this has helped the itching and the flare ups i have been having ... its not a permanent solution but it has helped calm it down which is a relief for me!!!
before putting on clothes i would pad my skin down so i havent wiped off the oil but its ok enough to put clothes on.
it hasnt wrecked my clothes or anything ...
hope it works for you guys
Question about the Salt water bath. Should i try it with epsom salt or just regular table salt? Sea salt?
My problem is not related to seasons or temperature: I've just been on holiday and have experienced a variety of climatic conditions -- but my symptoms continued throughout the holiday.
I did look up Urticaria, but most descriptions talk about raised welts and blisters on the skin. I get prickly, hot, flushed skin and (depending on the area of the body) some little pimple-looking red things often come up.
It started a couple of months ago and would suddenly occur on the palms of my hands and the tops of my feet.
Now it attacks in various places: one night my whole head and back of neck was itching (in a needle-prick sort of way) all night and I could not sleep for scratching. This morning I did some heavy exercise and a red rash soon appeared all over my chest, upper arms, waist, stomach and back.
Generally, I find that if I take an antihistamine tablet (like fexofenadine) the symptoms will subside. I'm starting to think it has a connection with anxiety and adrenal hormones, but I'm not sure.
It sounds like doctors and dermatologists have no idea how to treat this.
