i have tried that and it stopped the itch for a while, but it came back a couple months later. Not sure what to try now. Going to see my PCp on November 30th.

I've had this for over 25 years non-stop. It hasn't healed even once. When it first occurred around 1991 it would bleed whenever I had a bowel movement. I haven't experience the blood since then but the split never healed. Generally speaking it doesn't bother me except when I try to sit for lengthy times and since I'm a computer gamer and I'm retired I spend a lot of time in a chair. The pain can be almost excruciating to the point where I am forced to stand up for a bit until it passes. I've never actually had a doctor look at it because I find it somewhat embarrassing. Although when I described it to my personal doctor she just had me put cortisone cream on it and that didn't really solve the problem. I guess when I finally get fed up with it I'll go to a specialist and see if something can be done about it. Of course, part of my logic states, "Well, you lived with it this long..."
This is true! The condition is called intertrigo. Keep the area clean and dry. Antifugals can help.
Did the doctor ever tell u what caused it?
I have it on and off very painful had to take antibiotics for sinuses they were so strong had to stay in bathroom a lot Dr told me that was the problem so she too k me off antibiotics split is hurting bad so I was told to use lotrimom for jock itch while home take off undies air as much as possible takes about 2 weeks to hill she says allot of wiping with toilet paper flavored me
No your not I have one now because of taking antibiocts was too strong I had to take for sinuses wiping a lot put a cut so lotrimom for anti fungal helps takes a few days was told to air out at home keep uncovered as much as possible the cream has helped a.little in a couple days take care
