I started in the summer, smoked about 3 times a day for a month. I got caught so i immediately stoped now im only ever hungry when I'm high, i yousta LOVE food, now i have to force it into myslef unless im high. When I'm high id eat more in an hour then i would in a week of not being high.
I started smoking everyday when I was about 65kg and after you get over the first couple months of getting the munchies hard core I lost all appetite, l was an 18 year old girl who couldn't finish the small amount of chips and the tiny burger in a happy meal. I dropped down to 49kg. Then as soon as I stopped went straight back to 65kg so yeah id say it does help with losing weight but only if you don't get the munchies which you can teach yourself not too.
Marijuana causes a lot of inflammation in a lot of people. For these people, smoking just a few joints in a day or two will typically make them gain about 5% weight (water, and their face will often appear puffy even to themselves whey they look in the mirror). If they quit smoking for a few days, they'll notice that on about the third day they'll be urinating all day and will lose that added weight.
If they're pushing 50, or over 50, that constant up and down (like yoyo dieting) can be hard on their skin as it is already quickly losing its elasticity. It's like stretching a rubber band back and forth. Soon the skin is just hanging like they were ten years older.
Moral of the story: Marijuana can really age you (not just in looks -- inflammation ravages the entire body and destroys or damages cells) if you're sensitive to it.

No by smoking marijuana any persons weight doesnot increase or decrease. Insted the smoker becomes skinny! Its the only side effect of marijuana.

t all depends on the person & how many times in a day they smoke i'd say. some smokers love to have munchies after smoking, others would rather do activities they enjoy (or enjoy better whilst high), watch a movie, sleep, go for a walk, make music or relax and listen to the radio and the rest, are on here (the internet)
yes! you can lose weight by smoking cannabis and no, it's not science (marijuana is obviously a plant) & doesn't need to be scientifically proven. like i said, it all depends on the person & also their will power.

I LOVE FOOD! i could think about it all day especially at my weakest point - when im high! ugh, all this food comes to your head & you just can't resist, but ever since i started daily smoking, i always wondered why i was getting chubby & then i realised it was because i ate so much when i was stoned and sober. food was my life but on the downside, my eating habits were no good! mind you, actual exercise & gym aren't really my thing. at the time though, i thought eating after smoking would help you lose weight.
since then, I've dropped a more than a few kilos and it's bc now i eat small portions of food (when i'm not high), always drink A LOT of water! - keep your bottle handy even if you think you won't drink it., i do a lot of walking esp at work and the choice of walking somewhere rather than driving, i also do not eat while high anymore & lastly, I've learnt to control my mind.
basically, to me, i still believe you gotta watch what you eat & don't drag yourself into lazing around - challenge yourself (try cleaning, rearranging) do something! anything besides sitting around/ lying down eating
but as we all know, it's not the most healthiest way to lose weight.

Yeah, I started smoking weed frequently in the summer and I was overweight at that time but then I started to smoke weed almost everyday in September leading in to early October, and I've lost 20 Whole pounds in 1 month, also, I was also eating less because I started finding myself not caring about food anymore. But besides that, towards the end of October I quit for one week and in that one week my diet has been the complete same since last month, eating less and yet I managed to gain 3 pounds. And that was because I didn't smoke. I found that I actually lose weight while partaking in the herb.

people usually eat three to four Large meals a day with a snack, while having a "normal" or "slow" (based on opinion) metabolism, basically staying in the same range of nutrients and calories everyday consistently, whereas someone with the "munchies" eats much smaller portions more often, and these things usually have less calories and proteins than items usually included in larger meals (chips,cheetos,crackers,things not needing to be cooked essentially)
I was told if you eat first, then smoke pot,it causes the weight loss..your calories are burned that way, and you are not as hungry.It has a reverse effect on you basically
I've been smoking for maybe 2 years now. When I started I weighed 210lbs. Within a month I weighed 170 then dropped to 140. Currently I'm standing at 125 (about 3 months now) and still getting high.

I started smoking pot after college if you can appreciate the irony of that. I've lost thirty pounds this year and I don't understand how. I eat more than I did before from smoking. There has got to be a direct metabolic effect. The reason for the munchies is a lowered blood glucose level.(I work in a hospital laboratory)
