Hold up Hold up...when you eat the body stores the excess foods as fat reserves, most people gain weight due to these fat reserves still being there and they still eating so it adds up. that's why persons who exercise and eat either don't gain weight or they lose weight due to them balancing out the fat reserves. Now when you don't eat and trust me here on this cause i have done it. i was 183lbs and i stopped easting for 7 days. Within the first 4 days of not eating I lost 10lbs. What i use to do it drink sprite and water, cause the sprite helps to stabilize the hunger in you to an extend. After the 3rd day of not eating i just didn't have a appetite anymore. Then when i completed the 7 days i ate on the next 2 days following which included my usual meals and a burger i guess. Then i did another seven days and lost about a 23lbs in total during the whole two weeks of not eating. I went down to a 160lbs. That occured in January and right now in September i just gained back the weight i lost, due to me eating back the way i use to from since february and not exercising. So it took long for the weight to come back on. And guess what I am doing a 16 day fasting period but this time i want to include exercising in it to double my chances.

To all the people who have commented on this post...please do your research before you encourage a women to starve herself. If you want to lost weight, then work for it! don't deprive your body of the fuel it needs to function. Even if you are a living vegetable, your body still needs calories to do its job- to make the heart and organs work efficiently-eating healthy is absolutely crucial!! I cannot stress it enough. I would recommend running as the best way to lose weight, and plently of water..fruits vegetables, along with portions from all the other food groups. You might not realize the damage being done to your body, as what your main concentration is to lose weight...but it does more harm then good..especially since you're only 125lbs looking to lost 10-15 pounds. Do it the right way, and you'll feel great when you have mastered your weightloss goal. Everyone has different body types so what may work for one individual doesnt necessarily have to work for you..do your research, eat healthy, exercise and you are on your way girl! good luck.

when i first started ii weighed near enough 9stne :O and about 6 months later and i weigh 7stne10 (: Im happy but im nackered all the time and my parent took me to the doctors and ii apparently have an eating dissorder now :L Eny whoo try it but dont make yourself ill drink water! + eat a litle fruit..... Dont forget to Exercise during this [stop if you feel dizzy] (: Good Luckk.. Dont get i'll

wel i'm not an expert, but the best i've looked in my young adult life was when i was exercising almost every day, getting up early, doing things like lunges, crunches, pushups, and eating mostly all natural/organic food like 6 times a day. i've gained weight when i've not been able to go to the bathroom. the QUICKEST i've ever lost weight i think is when i quit sugar and breads for like a week. going off of sugar can cleanse your skin too.
wow.... youll lose weight if you dont eat obviously, but when you do eat again (which you'll have to eventually if you dont want to die) youll gain it all back n then some. if you want to lose weight, eat less, dont cut out food. and exercise. the weight will com one and stay off, and best of all you wont die.

i am just going to say it out !!
if you stop eating for a week or so you WILL LOSE WEIGHT !! you will lose up to 20-30 pounds (depending on your body type)
However it isnt the smartest way to lose weight.
all uoi have to do is to excerise more- an hour or so walking will do
- eat less portions
-and drink a pint of water before eating, as it will fill you up more and then you will not want to eat as much !!
But the choice is yours !!
i weighed 10 stone (exact) i stopped eating, only drank water, did alot of exercise, every day work, and drank 1 cup of green tea aday. now doing this for 5 days i got down to 9 stone 2. yes i lost 12 pounds in 5 days. but i worked mu bum off to do so. it was hard, however you have to find little tricks to keep your mind of the 'being hungry'. go for a 10 min walk, read a book, half an hour of dancing !!

by not eating, youre going to eventually gain all that weight back and probably even more than what you have lost. it can also harm your body.
the best way to actually lose weight is to, drink a lot of water (AT LEAST 8 CUPS A DAY), maintain a good exercise daily, cut back on the fast foods and sugary products. instead of eating 3 full meals try eating 6 smaller meals and dont eat past 6. i've actually followed this plan and lost 4 lbs a week. also i went to bikram yogas which is also helpful in a way. good luck and dont over do it.

it works for me. i been losing weight this way :-)
went from 155lbs and now down to 127lbs:) in less than 2 months.

You can't just not eat. In fact, it's super bad for you. You will lose weight, but in return, you'll gain more than you started out with later on. It's better if you just snack everyday. Like 2 types of fruits in the morning, a small sandwich in the afternoon, eat 1 fruit as snack, then eat a scoop of rice with some veggies. Then over the weekend or whenever you have time, go for a jog in the morning for like 30-45 minutes. At least 2 days of exercising. It's what I try to do right now. xD But unfortunately it's very hard for me cause I just had like 1.3 cups of rice with 2 eggs for dinner and 10 dumplings for lunch and a cup of cereal for breakfast. LOL. food is just a tempting little devil. :-S

To this person wanting to lose weight. Eat healthy and exercise. Most of the weight loss is affected by what you eat though. I do want to say this. I'm not you and so I don't know your life story, but 125 pounds is a more than awesome weight for your height. Lose weight if you want, but consider that you may already be looking fine where you are today. Just a thought though.

well being an X-anorectic, the best way to lose weight is to yes stop eatting and then work out lik there is no tomorrow. run and dont stop running till ur shirt is drenched in sweat and w.e you DON'T! drink water...tht will put pounds back on. most of ur body is water weight and so excess sweating and not replacing it will shed loads of pounds and then not eating your body will eat the fat cells and then by not replacing them u will again lose lots of weight. once you are on a steady path of not eating you can lose 7 pounds in a week with lots of working out.
