Hi everybody. I am 14 years old and I weight lift three times a week. I only “use” weights that I can manage comfortably. But, my mum keeps telling me that it will stunt my growth which is really annoying. If I do get enough sleep, eat healthy food and lift only weights I’m comfortable with, is there a chance I will be stunting my growth??? I would really appreciate any replies!!! Thanks.
No not at all. You will not get your height blocked. But,there should be a limite for it.do as many as much as you can.

The heavier the weight you can fuse the growth plates and you will stop growing. Talk to an orthopedic doctor and they will say to work out with your own body weight.

You must be demented. If someone is lifting weights and excercising regulary, the production of the muscle building hormone testosterone will increase, causing increase in height. What you said makes no sense. Hormones are not non-renewable, they are produced in the body, and the usage of them promotes their production. Learn before you talk.
