If you still want to build muscle, but your scared that weight lifting will stunt your growth, do push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, anything that involves your body weight instead of dumbells, etc.
if your 14 15 it will be okay but stay away from heavy squats deadlifts and just any thing that you put over your head that will stunt your growth but really your height is mostly determine by genetics if both your parents are short most likely you will and always will be short as well so dont worry too much stay away from those exercises and if you do bench start light and slowly add weight till you can only do 3 reps
im about 5'6" 5'7'
i work out (lift) about 3 maybe 4 times a day for about 1-2 hr
if i keep going like this will my body suffer the consequenses later or...
u used to lift heavy weights or moderate weights ??
I started lifting at the age of twelve and was 5,4 now im 14 and am 5,7 and i llift about 120 pds for me personaly it did not affect me
Thanks I was a little worried about it because Im young but I hate getting pushed around so I wanted to lift weights just for that reason and I will look smexy ;)
Yo man, i'm 13 and 5'7, 152 Lb. I started lifting since i was 12 and half and i've grown 4cm since then. I was also scared of weight lifting before i started but then i found it it's all just a myth. You can lift all you like, just take precautions and do it carefully. I'm a kickboxer and all my coaches say that weight lifting is okay at this point. I consider myself average height for my age and i'll hopefully grow a lot more since my dad's 6'2.
your a weanie
it does not stunt growth just dont' lift super heavy weights
But what if u r 15 years old at height 5'4-5 and u weight about 98.5 will u still grow or stop?
