I've had a thick mucus for a while now and constantly clearing my throat. After reading these articles what stuck out was the inflamation. I don't take my meds like I should I have arthritis and have meloxicam I took that and after awhile I wasn't clearing my throat mind you this is just the first maybe 6 hrs and it's wonderful thank the LORD.ILL SEE how I'llfeel tomorrow.
Is she around any possible mold problems in the home or school?
This was my daughter's life until she was 7. Had her tonsils and adenoids removed. Voila! Problem solved. It was the adenoids, they basically crumbled when the surgeon was removing them. Just wish the doctor would have listened to me sooner!
I had the surgery, same issues and all. I had a dual septoplasty and adenoidectomy. Helped for a few months, but here i am gaging and spitting until I vomit every morning. Surgery helped me breathe, but overall very expensive and didnt help.
AHA, I have had this for 5 years and just last week went to see a Lyme Specialist. Testing, testing, testing and started Nystatin first 5 days ago and the Mucus production is now non-stop. I could function in my life if not for the ever constant mucus and coughing it up. If I don't cough it up, it migrates to my bronchial tubes and I end up with asthma attacks and emergency room visits.
My husband has been struggling with an excess amount of mucus for about a year now. When he sleeps he sounds like he is drowning in his own secretions. He is up and down all night spitting it up. If you have any ideas or need other information I would be open to suggestion. He is health conscious takes several kinds of vitamins and tries to eat on the healthy side. He is in his mid fifties likes to work out but has had some difficulty with rsd in his leg. Thank you for helping appreciate your kindness.

I have started drinking sour cherry juice recently, as it's benefits are reported to be good for the immune system and for chest complaints. I have to say I helps with sleep issues too.
Not quite fair to the health professionals out there. We value women and strive to help all patients, regardless of sex, race, religion, etc.
I have late stage Lyme disease and when my other symptoms got worse I started having thick mucus in my throat that makes me gag and sometimes vomit. It is awful and am hoping to find something that helps. Glutathione seems to help but not fully. I am also on Zyrtec-D and budesonide nasal spray and have been on them forever it seems.
I am interested! I have had COPD like symptoms for going on almost 10 years. I've been to the Martha Foster Lung Care clinic, many allergists and pulmonologists. I'm amazed that I can find so many suffers online but not a doctor that has seen or understands the problem. I've had alot of luck with glutathione and vitamin C, iPrat inhaler but I would like to find something that makes me less allergic to whatever I am reacting to...this time of year is especially bad for me. I can't even go outside or tomorrow I won't be able to breathe again.
This sounds quite simplistic, I know, but in one case I know of, milk products, especially ice cream were determined to be the genesis of the thick mucous. I thought my husband would probably die some night with my coups some tremendous he wouldn't be able to breathe. I put him on a diet that excluded caffeine and ice cream and the mucous disappeared. I can tell when he's "slipped" because it starts up,again. He's coughing his lungs up right now.
Drowning in my own mucus can't stand nothing scented vomits if smelled please help me
