Jessy - hope you get this in time. If the spots are not that noticeable, I wouldn't recommend something as permanent as tattoo.

How ugly does it feel? Every day that passes I remember my life before these spots appear in my life, I see everyone so happy living their lives, and here I'm trying to find a cure for this, I'm stressed, depressed, at my house all day, try Not to give importance but every time I go out it is impossible not to feel people's eyes on me, wondering what I have on my lips, sometimes I hear mocking, this is BS, I can not believe that there is no cure, I suppose it should There are so many people that it feels like me, if this is something aesthetic because I did not invent a cure ?, so I see there are so many aesthetic problems that have a treatment ... this is sh*t, sorry for those who suffer with these spots all The days, this is BS, I thought about suicide but I hope that before making that decision there is something to kill these bastards
HI Bluesmile, I think the forum doesn't allow us to write email address.
Thank you. Wish you all the best.

I’m 25 and have fordyce spots across the top my lip (underneath). I noticed smaller ones when i was younger but now they have clustered in one specific area and are much more visible. When I say visible, I mean when you get up close to a mirror and stretch out your lip. I noticed my lips were becoming ridiculously dry too. None of my friends or family have ever noticed them. Sometimes in photos I can see the change in colour. I’m very sociable but now my lips are causing me lots of stress and now I’m becoming even more conscious when talking to people face to face or taking photos.
I’ve tried using anti-sebum sebaceous prominence gel from the anti-sebum website, they claim to reduce the size but its’ not a permanent fix. Lots of topical creams like blistex/ jojoba oil will do the same. But we want a permanent cure. I’ve read all the replies on this forum and nothing seems to work. I will try the hot needle method first. If that doesn’t work then I will aim to get them lasered with CO2. It costs £250 per session in the UK, and the doctor recommends several sessions. Although people have said they return after this method, it seems to be the most effective process in dramatically reducing the size. As long as this cluster is gone then I’ll be happy, as you can’t even notice the smaller ones around the sides of my lips. Until then i will continue to moisturise my lips using an SPF lip balm. It’s true my lips do look healthier, but the spots are still there.
I believe dehydration and smoking both contribute to the severity of how they look. So I have stopped smoking and started drinking lots more water and taking vitamins A,B and well as zinc tablets. Im glad I found this forum, and can relate to a lot of peoples frustration. It would be even more reassuring if we could post pictures/videos of the tackling/healing process. Will keep you updated on my progress. I refuse to accept that there isn't a cure! - Stay strong guys
Thanks for sharing. Is it possible if you could share your process of treatment with laser CO2, honestly I did the laser CO2 before, and the spots return right after the wound heal, I don't know, I think the dermatologist in my place didn't do the proper job, but since the laser seem to be the only choice of us here, I want to do the laser again in another clinics. Therefore it's very helpful if you could share your treatment as well.
Thank you
Can start a new post with only methods that have WORKED or at least REDUCED these awful bumps?
